Not entirely sure, but the rumour is that the fleet discount was either not correctly applied or the discount was being tagged to the wrong ship so it was cheap even if you didn’t own the C-Store version.

All I had time to do last night was buy the bundle, claim a Lafayette on one character, and equip it (going with phasers, DHC/turrets and a torpedo). Still have to assign Boffs, run down the traits/doffs/all that jazz, and lay out her trays. But I'm looking forward to it!

I've no idea Bridger, I went to get the fleet version last night and it simply wasn't in the ship vendor's menu. Maybe they were charging more than one fleet module and a metric tonne of fleet credits for the upgrade? I'm hoping that there'll be a patch waiting after I get back from watching The Meg at the theatre tonight.

Question to all who had the chance to try out the new ship: How is it?

I am not sure if I should buy it. The console and trait do not look like must haves to me and the bridge layout reminds me of the Manticore.
So, is it worth buying apart from the looks?

Also curious about the builds you guys are planning to do with it.

Crap what's wrong since I already bought mine when she came out.

I bought the C-Store ship, but when I went to get the fleet version, it was not discounted. It was still charging 5 fleet ship modules, when it should have been discounted to 1. I checked before I purchased the C-Store ship, and it was also 5 fleet ship modules. So, the C-Store purchase discount was not being applied, resulting in the temporary removal from ship requisitions. I was hoping for a quick patch, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I purchased the C-Store ship purely for the Lafayette skin. I agree that the trait and console aren't that exciting. I basically copied my Manticore build, but I swapped the current meta shields, WC, engines, and deflector for the full Iconian set, since this is an Intel ship, and I'm running Override Subsystem Safeties. I don't need subsystems going offline. I use sensor-linked disruptors with an Aux2Batt setup. This is with my main engineering character. With the C-Store ship fully leveled up, I've gotten as high as 141K DPS in ISA, and average in the 120K's, in PUGs. This is within my normal range with my main DPS ship, though not record breaking...yet, so I'm very satisfied. I'm excited to see what the fleet variant is capable of!

It was resolved on Monday or Tuesday of this week. They announced on Twitter , I believe, saying that the ships were again available at the ship vendors. There was no patch necessary. They fixed it internally. I've been cruising around in my fleet recon destroyer since!
