    New Features:
    Discovery Starting Experience:
    • Create a Discovery Captain from the character select screen.
    ○ A new starting experience faction featuring characters including Cadet Sylvia Tilly and stories set during the Discovery Era, beginning in 2256.
    ○ Upon completion of the new Age of Discovery Arc, Discovery Captains will gain access to Federation episodes subsequent to the events that occurred during the Age of Discovery Arc.
    ○ All accounts will receive 1 free additional character slot to make a new Discovery Captain.
    ○ For more details, please visit the Discover New Adventures This Fall blog.
    • Age of Discovery Arc:
    ○ Secrets is the first episode available to Discovery-era Captains after completing the tutorial.
    • It will also be available to all other factions as a historical simulation in the mission journal after Victory is Life.
    ○ Downfall is the second episode available to Discovery-era Captains after completing the tutorial.
    • It will also be available to all other factions as a historical simulation in the mission journal after Victory is Life.

    Streamlining the Mission Journal:
    • With the launch of Age of Discovery, we have chosen to update the story experience throughout the episode journal.
    • We’ve moved a number of episodes which occurred before the Delta Quadrant Arc out of the required mission journal flow.
    ○ These episodes will still be available via hand-off missions in the Available missions tab.
    • In addition to this, Task Force Operations will be unlocked at lower levels as players progress through the episode arcs.
    ○ Task Force Operations is the new name for PvE Queues.
    • These changes mostly impact Federation captains but some changes were made for Klingon and Romulan Captains.

    Random Task Force Operations:
    • PvE Queues are now called Task Force Operations or TFO for short.
    • A new button has been added to the Task Force Operations window titled Random which will queue a player up for all available TFOs.
    ○ There is also a drop down option to Random queue for Normal or Advanced versions of TFOs.
    • Players who compete in TFOs will receive a bonus reward on top of the standard reward for the completed TFO.

    New TFO: The Defense of Starbase 1:
    • It’s the 2250’s and Starbase 1 is under attack from the Klingons and needs your help!
    • Through a historical simulation, go back to the Age of Discovery and see how this battle played out.
    • This is a 5 Captain cross faction Space TFO for captains level 10 and above.

    Reputation Extension:
    • All reputations will be extended to Tier 6 and will include numerous rewards:
    ○ Reaching Tier 6 in a reputation will increase the trait effectiveness of all traits in the reputation.
    ○ Reaching Tier 6 in a reputation will also increase the damage inflicted by Reputation Set Weapons.
    ○ Brag to your friends about your progress by activating a new Ability that displays dramatic visual FX for each Tier VI Reputation you have achieved.
    ○ And much more!

    General:
    • Crossfield and Walker Starships to receive free updated Discovery bridges.
    • C-Store has been updated with new categories:
    ○ A Starter Packs section has been added to easily navigate to the variety of Starter Packs available.
    ○ Discounts packs sections has been updated with new categories to better organize Expansion Packs, Mega Bundles, Cross Faction Bundles, and Faction bundles.
    • Added long descriptions to faction tooltip during character creation.
    • Resolved an issue causing Bridge Officer costumes not being able to be selected correctly and modified.
    • Updated chat setting "Show System Message Types" to be off as a default.

    Content:
    • resolved an issue that was causing Doomed to Repeat to not be automatically granted to players when available.
    • Resolved an issue that could prevent players from accessing "Diplomatic Orders."
    • "Doomsday Device": The "borrowed" bird-of-prey now uses level-adjusting gear, so higher-level captains should have an easier time with this mission.
    • Added auto-navigation, transwarp, and waypoints to "The Galaxy at Large."
    • New Romulus: Halved the amount of work necessary to complete personal missions at various locations (river, ruins, mountains, forest, staging area).
    • Non-dreadnoughts will not despawn on success of Stage 3 during The Swarm TFO.
    • Added transwarps to the former Reputation missions for New Romulus.
    • Federation Characters can sometimes get Klingon Rivals kill credits during the Starbase Incursion, Arena of Sompek, and Colony Invasion Simulation.

    Character Art:
    • Discovery Starfleet Upper Uniforms now have an additional color choice for the collar.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the Odyssey Uniform preset to show up as Sierra sleek for FED aligned female Captains.

    Environment:
    • Resolved an issue in the mission Research Rescue that could allow players to get stuck outside of the playable space.
    • Resolved an issue in the mission Cardassian Struggle that could allow players to get stuck outside of the playable space.
    • Resolved an issue during the mission Borg Advance that was cause pieces of the environment to unintentionally extrude.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the map to display incorrectly during the mission The Doomsday Device.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the map to display incorrectly during the mission New Romulus.

    UI:
    • In addition to the T6 Reputation extension, the Reputation UI has been updated and streamlined.
    ○ Simplified the UI to make for a cleaner experience.
    ○ Added new larger images for rewards and various icons.
    ○ Removed unnecessary UI elements for a quicker streamlined experience.
    • Mission journal updated to hide UI buttons that are not relevant to the current context.
    ○ For example if you can't skip/replay/transwarp then those buttons will be hidden.
    ○ With the exception of transwarp being shown greyed out if the player doesn't have enough energy credits.
    • Added all new Sector Space Travel Tutorial tooltips.
    • resolved an issue that was causing the Episode image to not update or reflect the current Episode in the mission journal.
    • Updated upgrade kit icons (C-store icon/preview image, rewardpack icon and item icon) for the Max-level upgrade kits that come with key rings to have an up arrow icon with an M instead of the number 14.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing elements of the chat box to overlap when there is no input box.
    • General Floater tooltips will no longer automatically fade away.

    Systems:
    • Resolved an issue with mines deployed on ground maps that would prevent them from consistently dealing damage.
    • Resolve and issue that was causing low level players to receive a MKXII Agony Phaser Torpedo instead of MKII.
    • Resolved an issue that could cause the Talaxian Loyal trait to fail to apply to your teammates in some cases.
    • Duty Officer Mission Buffs:
    ○ The Duration of the buff only counts down while on the correct map type (space or ground).
    ○ The mission text now correctly displays what buffs will be received on critical outcomes.
    ○ The buff that previously gave Long-Range Targeting Sensors now gives Targeting Expertise.
    • Resolved an issue which would cause the Pursuit Mode console to fail to give any bonuses if no enemies were nearby.
    • The Gamma Recruit Duty Officer, Elder Malik'itan and the Duty Officer, Ang The Vicious, have undergone a rebalance and slight redesign.
    ○ The damage buff given is now 10% All Damage for both Duty Officers.
    ○ Ang the Vicious is still limited to Tholians.
    ○ Both Duty Officers are now Warfare Masters instead of Warfare Specialists.
    ○ Warfare Masters have no limits to how many can be slotted and will stack with other Warfare Duty Officer buffs.
    ○ This also means that Warfare Masters can be slotted with Warfare Specialists.
    ○ Additionally, Warfare Masters can be slotted in either Space or Ground Active Roster slots.
    • Resolved an issue that caused the Team Synergy Starship Trait to use an incorrect icon.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the species to show incorrectly for Jem’Hadar Space Duty Officers.
    • Resolved an issue with the Phaser Full Auto Rifle (Dsc) which could cause it to fail to deal damage on some shots.
    • Fixed a tooltip display error in the "Advanced Engines (Rank 2)" Reputation Trait in Delta Expedition Reputation.
    • Resolved a typo in the Gamma Reputation donation task.
    ○ Synergistic was misspelled.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing the Experimental Weapons tooltip to display Aft Arc description.
    • Resolved an issue that was causing Medical Commendations to display as Engineering Commendations.
    • Resolved an issue where the name of the Miniaturized Danube Runabout was misspelled.

    Known Issues:
    • Starbase 24 Task Force Operation will be removed until further notice.
    • Discovery Starter ship Windows 2 and 3 are missing materials.
    • Cannot reclaim packs from the C-Store that auto-open into items on ground maps.

    I still reserve my hate for the Wasteland arc, probably because I've had to do them so much more often.

    It's like pulling teeth these days getting through it. Still not quite as bad as the old Cardassian arc, that one really sucked the will to live out of you.

    That is a lot of changes, blimey.

    Not actually a lot of DSC stuff though so unless you are new to the game there's not a lot for you to get excited about.
    Still not sure about all this random TFO stuff though.

    Yeah possibly. I recon there will be a fair bit of rage quitting going on initially.

    The one silver lining though is that right now none of the queues pop; at least this system will allow stuff to start. So whereas currently i can't play anything due to lack of people queued, at the very least this works as a means of getting maps going in the first place. What happens then is anyone's guess. Maybe i'll be soloing a lot of maps!

    Time to dig out the TR-116B again, just in case we end up against the Borg on the ground....
    That for long range shots and Zefram Cochrane shotgun is superb close range..although Leck's Throwing Knives seemed popular last time I was on Defera Borg Ground map.

    That's a good call, I'd forgotten about the Shotgun as I only have it on a few of my characters (pre-account unlock days) so I'll get that strapped into the inventory too.

    Ideal budget option imho, I would have loved to have the throwing knives when I was first starting out since the TR-116B were too expensive for me and the shotgun is only available via the phoenix prize box.

    I wonder how AoD toon's will do in these TFO's

    It may be just me... but the Starbase 1 defense thing reads a bit silly.

    It’s the 2250’s and Starbase 1 is under attack from the Klingons and needs your help!

    This is a 5 Captain cross faction Space TFO for captains level 10 and above.
    Klingon faction player arrives... and has to fight WITH the Federation against his own faction?

    Or am I just reading or understanding that incorrectly?

    Oh and a bigger question, will the AoD make Klingons look like Klingons from STBig Griniscovery?

    It's not time-travel shenanigans, but it's set up as a "historical sim" situation, is my understanding. No risk your Klingon character will pull a Marty McFly and almost erase himself from history.
