I can't see them listed anywhere on the UK Netflix. The full show is on as it started today but not the shorts yet it seems.

Having just watched them all i thought they were pretty decent.
Tilly's one was a bit meh i thought and it didn't really make sense how she could just transport back unless they were in orbit and surely the ship would have been alerted by the planet already that their queen was missing. Who knows.
But it was just more of Tilly being Tilly i guess and at least we sort of saw why she is so full of energy so often, rebelling against her mother who think she'll always fail.
The one with Discovery was a really cool idea. It open up a massive plot hole we have yet to see closed, how does Discovery end up abandoned in space for 1000 years? Is this where the show is heading to? Is this why spore drives are not common, because something causes the ship to be left empty in space with the crew gone?
Lots of possibilities there.
Saru's story was the best I thought. I always assumed he was the only Kelpian in SF because he was the first and they were a newly joined race. But the story brought a whole other side to it which is actually pretty sad. He had the intellect to escape but as a consequence can never return. I guess we know why we'll probably never get a Kelpian species in STO now, they are simply not developed enough to be out in space and the prime directive would be enforced.
Mudd's story was a good bit of fun and i thought it was all good light hearted entertainment. He'll be an amusing character if used in moderation in future episodes.
But it didn't really show us anything we didn't already know about him and his devious plots.

I didn't really like any of them except for the Saru one.
The one with Tilly didn't make too much sense, I get the message they were attempting to convey, but it didn't really have any impact because they introduced a new race, represented by a new character, which makes it hard to relate because we know nothing about them, and it's a short, so not enough time to do anything. They could have spent more time developing Tilly as a character by having a story around her studying, rather than trying to fit a whole episodes worth of stuff into 15 minutes.
Then there was the one with Discovery, a computer that has gained sentience after 1000 years drifting in space, new crew or anything. Then it rescues a person, and falls in love with them, they start to feel something for the computer too, I guess, but then figure that they would be cheating, either way, odd story. I also cringed quite a lot during this short, I didn't really think it was clever, it also really doesn't make much sense, but maybe the show will eventual shed some light on Discovery ending up in the middle of nowhere.
The short with Saru was the one I thought was done the best, you have an established character, and it's a story they should have done for Tilly, one that develops the character. This short explains why there are no more of Saru's race in Starfleet, and explains why he is there, all neat and tidy. There's not really much to say, it wasn't an over the top story, the length suited it, and it helped to build a character.
Finally, the fourth one, Mudd, I don't have much to say about this one, it seemed like they were really just going for the comedy value on this, Mudd is nothing more than comic relief. He's a discount version of Q.

I have just finished the first one and well...I don't even know if I want to continue - too short, felt like the story was far too rushed, and ultimately meant diddly squat :/ PS - no matter what, you are always in transporter range of home...apparently

I liked Calypso, Kinda liekd the fact that despite being in the distant future, conflict still exists. On that note, anyone else think the humans saved by the red angel are the ones fighting the Ved'Raysh in the future?

With regards to Calypso, are the planets mentioned in the episode anything we've heard of before? I mean i'd find it odd for the DSC to just be sitting in Federation space for 1000 years without anyone finding it or looking for it. Seems a bit odd the crew would abandon it unless there's something seriously going on that requires it to happen that way.

I enjoyed all of them
Wonder if and hope we do see more of that planet Zahir (I think it was called) from the first short, with Tilly. And fortunately she didn't blabber too much, which was good.
Calypso I found a bit depressing at the end (even though predictable), as the AI (wonder when that developed / has been fitted in) finally found someone, only to have to let him go. I have a thing for robots, cybernetics, AI, sort of stuff, so for me it's entirely plausible that an AI can fall in love with a humanoid or anything else, and vice versa, hence I feel especially for the AI losing the one companion after such a long time being lonely.
Saru's story was well made. Good additional details on his background and that of the Kelpians, do wonder if it'll be expanded more on some point in the future, including showing more about the other race that subjugated the Kelpians (forgot their name).
Mudd was funny either way, enjoyed that one for the laughs alone
