[Takes a seat at a table with a few others, thinking it's nice be here. ]
So what brought me here? A passion for the ethos and the potential of what we all embody. Not a lot of STO communities have survived as long as yours and that speaks volumes about the community involved. I hope to contribute and participate and grow within the ranks here and online and see what happens. As for myself I telecommute 99% of the time. If I'm not trapped in front of screens working (and/or playing, (wink wink nudge nudge)) I'm outside, trail running or toiling in the yard, working on an personal project, or volunteering with HfH. As far as STO goes I was on original STO life-timer but forgot about my account and to my surprise when I logged in 6 years later..... So here I am with T6 Captain ship and crew, grinding away and what fun is grinding without friends? I have no fleet and am looking to join one. The more the merrier, most of the time (wink). It looks like I'm starting to drift so I'll end here. Looking forward to meeting more of you. [finishes with a pull from a nice cold beverage and a toast of mugs, glasses, and containers]

Greetings, and welcome to the UFP! One thing that certainly helps us is that the community has roots from before STO, and we have a wide range of interests within the people here. So we have members who didn't join for STO, but other reasons, and some who have stopped playing, so we end up with a varied and long lasting community, as well as an active fleet!
Anyway, there should be no shortage of people to help you if you ever do get stuck with anything, we have an abundance of people who like to help others.

OK, somehow I missed this the first go-around. Glad I am catching it now, though. Welcome to the fleet, Ash. Glad you found your way back. We are a mixture of those who have been here since the beginning, those who have just joined and plenty in between as well. That goes for both the fleet and the game.
