I suspect the two will work pretty closely together tbh, Discovery certainly has been tied quite close to the game so far. In fact the game has provided several back stories to events only hinted at in the show, so i guess as far as DSC is concerned it's certainly more canon relevant than anything else in game.
Be interesting to see how things pan out though, this show is gonna be prior to Hobus I think, so it's sort of a prequel to STO's story itself.

It has apparently been confirmed that the new Picard show outside of the US will not be streamed on Netflix but Amazon Prime.

That's annoying as it forces those on low income to choose between Discovery and Picard if it's just on Prime. Also all of Trek's on Netflix.

Might've shot themselves in the foot as far as Discovery's concerned there as I doubt many Trek fans would prefer it over Picard. I know Picard's my choice!

Eventually it won't matter as CBS AA will be global, they have already set launch dates in several countries.

All we know about the plot is what Kurtzman has said:

Executive producer Alex Kurtzman has also stated that the show will deal with the aftermath of the events of the 2009 Star Trek film which take place in the Prime Timeline, specifically the destruction of the Planet Romulus in the year 2387 following a supernova. Kurtzman notes “Picard’s life was radically altered by the dissolution of the Romulan Empire.” Patrick Stewart has also noted that things have changed, saying “the world that we find Jean-Luc Picard in is not quite the world that we left him in,” and in another interview adding “things are very different from what they were.”

The title sequence shown in the Instagram post above was used in the Upfront presentation. Star Trek: Picard appears to be the official title, however in March director Hanelle Culpepper said Star Trek: Picard is not the title, and Stewart has said that they are trying to keep as many of the details a secret as possible, presumedly for a later reveal, likely for San Diego Comic-Con in July. So it’s unclear if this really is the final title, but for now this seems like it.

Don’t get me wrong, if that’s the title it won’t bother me. I wouldn’t be shocked if a different title is announced this summer though.
