Well, today is the day everyone been begging for. lol.

It's kind of funny there's all this talk about Akstar being super-obsoleted by Esther, only to have Xeno bring in the TDW meta and out-do Esther.

(Although Esther is way easier than either to use, given you don't have to keep track of which ability boosts which one, and get this huge A->B->C->D->Whatever chain to get that superior damage. So I didn't care, too much effort.)

Anyhow, the funny bit is I actually wanted Akstar (and got one copy) precisely because he's still in the TDH meta, and has an Aureola Ray chaining ability. I only pulled one, but that's enough for the ability and double cast - so now he has an AoE no-element 30x2 hit chain with Aurora Fryevia, all at high accuracy. Arena just got a lot less painful with guaranteed 119-hit chains.

I want Akstar because he has an awesome sprite haha. However, like most CG units I can't seem to summon one haha. Trying to farm some more lapis before his step-up disappears. Its finding time to do the story and extra stuff haha.

Excited for sephiroth ability enhancements that were announced today.

Man, I put the Lust Dagger (inherant bonus to LB gen) through Item World like 6 or 7 times to get the High Tide+.

Then I put Rem's daggers through (from the rerun event) for Mag, got garbage the first try, and then got High Tide+ on the second. I'm not even sure it's good for her, but it's too rare for me not to take.

Addendum: Her LB is garbage, but she has an ability that uses 10 LB crystals to regen 180 MP, so it's still good.

I got 15 of the 5* select was thinking of getting zeno or akstar since I didn't pull either of them, which do you think chains well with enhanced Sephiroth or maybe I should get that lighting chick everyone loves haha. Ugh, choices!

In terms of power, I believe it's Zeno >> Esther >>> Akstar > Enhanced Sephiroth.
Where the last two are closer than the difference between Zeno and Esther, and Zeno has a bigger gap with Esther than Akstar has over eSephiroth.

Sephiroth is an AT chainer, Zeno is primarily AT chains so if that's your consideration it'd be Zeno.

I actually like Esther the most, but she's harder to find chaining partners for while being easier to use. Like Zeno and Akstar need to have rotations to get that higher damage, while Esther is basically just Bolting Strike. Maybe with her CD fired off first to add Lightning damage while inflicting a 100% Lightning Imperil.

Zeno or Akstar function better at 6-star though, while I think Esther may need 7-star to get her performance? I don't know.

OMG, today's update now allows us to share 5 units with friends.
I'm thinking 2 chainers, 2 tanks, then an event character.

Provoke tank and magic cover tank, perhaps. They should use different gear so I can have both up.

Chainers seem like it'd have to be TDH and TDW to not use the same gear, so obviously for TDW Zeno would be a good choice.
I'd think Esther as the TDH since she's a different chaining family and the other strong choice, but that means I'm only sharing physical chainers and that's not as helpful as something like Aurora Fryevia, even if she does less damage.

5?! oh dear. I'll probably setup zarg, seph, zeno, best breaker I got is 7* CG Lid, and highest event unit I got for whatever event running. Once I can get a better tank I'll def share that one instead. What do you think of these? Wish I could show you my roster. Bluestacks really doesn't work on my pc lol.

Well, we don't have to fill all five units. So long as we hit the AT chaining family that's already one unit that's going to be useful for most people.

I don't really ever look for anything aside from chainers for friends, and actually on reflection I might see if I can build a magic or hybrid chainer.

I'm obviously going to share the best unit I have, but the other units can also make use of the "best" gear so long as it doesn't conflict. Like Zeno is TDW with a Katana and something, which means I have leftover TDH gear. I could probably get personal-best-in-slot (as in from my inventory, not all possible gear) for both. Likewise it should be possible to build a passive provoke tank as well as a full evade physical cover tank. Hm... actually, I wonder if I can build Basch into a passive provoke full evade and cover literally everything.

Hmm logging in seems they have each slot dedicated to something. Favorite unit, event 1, event 2, Nemesis 1, and Nemesis 2.

Yeah, but it doesn't really mean anything.

The Favorite slot is going to be your advertising slot that shows up in the first tab, but aside from that it's really just whatever. Who really has 2 event units? What's the point since it's a per-user 3 hour cooldown anyway?

Ended up going with Esther, Event (junk at the moment), Zeno, AFry (hybrid chainer), and an Evade Basch who's also loaded up with SPR.

OMG. So I forgot we weren't supposed to fuse Barret or Cait, because they will have raid moogles later. Now we have the KM event and I'm short bonus units (only one of each). Used my Ex tickets and the free 5+1 we got today, pulled one Cait. I'm using Esther as a carry, so I figure I'll toss some tickets at the banner.

1st ticket, a 4-star, and it comes down rainbow - AERITH!
