It's a CD Projekt Red game, they're a PC focused developer, and every game they've made with the exception of their Mobile Witcher game, has had a Windows Version, with The Witcher 2 (Xbox 360, a year after Windows) and Witcher 3 (PS4 and Xbox One, all 3 versions released at the same time) getting console ports.

They always put the most care and detail into their PC versions, as they are always the best looking and best performing of all the versions.

Not only is it coming to PC mate, it's already up on Steam for pre-order. It's releasing the same day as the console version.

I’ve been waiting for awhile now. They’ve come pretty far. They announced this project awhile back but had shelved the project in between.

They let you play as male or female then, that's good!

Doesn't look like it'll let you build the character from the start though, you have an established background, so not like some of the Fallout games, and not like the pen and paper roleplay game it's based off. I hope it has plenty of aspects from the pen and paper game though! I had fun playing it.

All the Fallout games with a story had a predefined character background to varying extents, no?
Aside from maybe Tactics, though I don't remember that one clearly.

From the gameplay trailer a while back, aside from gender there's three choices for "Childhood Hero", "Key Life Event", and "Why Night City?" which seems to offer a fairly diverse choice of backstory. The only recent story-heavy game that beats it is probably Dragon Age Origins. Maybe Pillars of Eternity or Kingmaker, but the background you chose really has practically no impact on the narrative. We'll have to see how much influence the background customization in CP2077 actually has on the story.

I know fully cosmetically customizable characters are a selling point for many, including among my friends, but I've always been apathetic. All it means is that I'll spend an hour or two tweaking, end up with a horrific monster, and then give up and go with a premade face anyway. Only exception is if the premade face looks terrible and I'm forced to try and make it acceptable.
