You can't even get the absolute best out of this ship unless you own like quite a few ships anyways. It dawned on me that a lot of the pet ship traits are either on lock box ships, ships people won't own or just probably in the 20-30m range.

I'd probably guess you'd end up spending at least 2b in EC for it to be properly ready.

And yet here I am, still wanting the damn thing.

It is a fundamental flaw in thinking that the pets on a Carrier are the main source of DPS, they are nothing more than an additional asset to your ship so adding traits that buff pets will ultimately hurt the main ship.

I was thinking this morning it would be nice if they added the phasers/disruptors into an equipment pack on the lobi exchange as I was more interested in those (for the space Barbie!) but the chances of that happening are probably less than nothing.

Not that it would really make up for the bad blood that now exists in the STO community about the ship, but it would be something at least.

Cryptic knows the decisions about making these ships was disappointing. Based on the data they have in house based on how players interface with the game, this was the only viable way of distributing these ships. If there was another way, they would've done so.

The translation to that statement is that this method generates the most revenue. Since the purpose of their company is to generate revenue then it was an easy decision.

Call it greed or whatever you like. Their company, their decision. Now as a player it is within your rights to not buy and or/not play. If enough players stop “interacting” with the game in this way maybe they will change to the next option for generating revenue.

I don’t like promo ships or lock boxes, but I’m not going to stop playing over it.

They won’t do that until they have to.

To do that, they simply have to add the tier 6 mastery to them.

They only make special bridges now if they need them on a mission map.

Pretty much their entire operation these days seems to b about doing the bare minimum to make money or get people to log in for a few mins a day for "teh metrics".
Cutting the foundry, exploration, "streamlining" the weekend store, dumbing down missions and difficulties, lack of kitbashing for ships. It's all about tightening purse strings and doing as little as possible.

I mean they have had 3-4 years to make a unique bridge for the new summer event Risan ship but i GUARANTEE there will not be one for the new T6 version. That's how little effort is made these days.

I figured they wouldn’t. They said in the stream they didn’t see the bridge until we saw it at the end of S2. There was no time to do it. What I see them doing is doing what they did with the Discovery bridge and work it into an episode, maybe having Mount voice Pike!
