Hmmn, I dont know if there are official Andorian wedding traditions, but you could make some up. Maybe there should be ice sculptures around Urquart Castle, to represent the Andorian side? Cut the cake with an Ushaan-tor?

Maybe you can take Urquart Castle, and plop it right in the middle of Andoria in the holodeck program, so it shows the combining of both of your lines. This also allows the guests to have snowball fights afterward *L*

Hey, this is a random, unrelated question, but...what does everyone think about the role of Holographic Communication in 2381?

Obviously it's become a bigger thing now because of Discovery and the resulting controversy, but I had forgotten about the instances of Holocommunication in the post-TOS Treks. Such as the holoemitter that they had on the Defiant, that was basically the actor just standing there in a ring on the floor *L* But more than that, I'd forgotten about some of the holo displays on TNG, both graphics on the tables and the projection of the Ferengi Captain onto the bridge of the Enterprise. You can see it in the following video. I suppose the Enterprise must have holoemitters on the bridge, but they just never use them very much.

So, should this just be kind of a private communications option, or do you see us ever using this on the bridge, or say the briefing room, which might me more appropriate?

I don't have an issue with holocomms, but I'd reserve it for official comms only. Bridge and briefing room are the main candidates. But you never know what the effect of Voyager's ECH had on Starfleet policy, they may have decided to install holo emitters on all ships after Voyager's return. I don't think that emitters would have been placed throughout the whole ship as that would probably be prohibitively complex to maintain from an engineering point of view.

I think that the episode of Voyager with the EMH II on the Prometheus indicated that the next generation of EMH's had free run of most common areas of the ship. I still find it interesting that apparently the Enterprise had a holoemitter on the bridge before EMH's were in service.

Reserving holograms for official comms sounds like a good idea, with maybe the exception of holographic "mail," like getting a hologram message from a loved one that is a recording? Seems like the briefing rooms would have holographic displays too, like the ones Data and Picard were using in that video.

It'd be cool though to be able to receive holographic communications in the Holodeck though! *L*
