Well, honestly dont know the future of the Federation, because Daniels was actively involved in a Temporal War. I dont think it was ever really resolved on screen. So if they say that the Federation has been destroyed for 50 years or 500 years, you can believe it, because we dont know what happened in the Temporal Wars, or if anyone intervened after Enterprise. Doctor Burnham made 850 jumps to stop Control. Did that have any affect on anything? We dont know.

Discovery is on a different level when it comes to ignoring canon.

It is. A lesser level. Discovery hasn't really affected much canon, other than the visual changes, which many would not describe as a violation of canon. At least you have people at the helm that kind of care something about canon, instead of Gene Roddenberry, whose definition of canon during TNG was notorious for being inconsistent.

It was sort of hand waved into a resolution. Daniels mentioned something along the lines of the various factions, after seeing the results of the conflict having erupted into open warfare, combined with Archer's actions to undo the damage, effectively stop and enter a ceasefire stance to talk.

As to the visuals thing, those I don't mind. I've said this before - as much as a classic as the original Enterprise design is, the aesthetics are of their time and they've not aged that well. Even the later Trek series only used them sparingly when the need arose.

I really don't mind when it comes to canon Continuity I mean lets be honest, trek in general really hasn't really had a good track record when it comes to keeping with Canon, at least Season 2 tried to fix some of it. Than again the only time I really threw a fit over such a thing was when Disney scrapped the expanded Universe of Star Wars destroying years of world building and character development just Cuz Chewie died and they wanted to Milk him for easy money and just copied the Dark Empire Book series and turned it into a new trilogy, but I digress. fricking JJ Abrams

And since cease fires aren't actually peace treaties, it leaves wiggle room to have it resume.

Yeah, not convinced it ended. And the latter just really isn't true. Most of the things people call "canon violations" really aren't, it's just "Why haven't we seen that before?"

1. Lorca had a Gorn skeleton in his Lab
2. Leeland and Pike were talking about fighting Gorn in Cestus III
3. The Gorn should not been known until Kirk fights them with the Bamboo Canon

That is not a canon violation because:

1) Lorca is from the Mirror Universe. He might have already known who the Gorn were, and how they can be contacted, using that info in this universe.
2) & 3) Well, for starters, we had a Gorn in Enterprise. I dont think it was identified as such, but they were a spacefaring race, and it makes sense that there were brushes with Gorn at various times by various people. Which leads to this: Exactly what does First Contact mean? When Kirk fights the Gorn, the Gorn had officially annexed Cestus III. Is that what first Contact is? A literal contact? Or an official contact?

In the movie Star Trek: First Contact, the Vulcans made official contact with humans. But they had been watching and interacting with humans much before then. Remember Carbon Creek on Enteprise? Vulcans had been to Earth before. So, it's very possible that Leland and Pike were fighting creatures that were later identified as Gorn on Cestus III long before they officially annexed it by Kirk's time.

In ENT Archer and the Enterprise witnessed Romulan cloaking 100 years before Starfleet sees it in TOS

in DSC we see Klingons cloaking a 10 years before they supposedly get it in TOS

In TOS Pon Farr was for male vulcans only yet in Enterprise females can now get it

In TNG Troi had full telepathic ability, then were downgraded to be a weaker version. Also, in one episode she could read a ferengi mind, then in another she could not

In DS9 Kor, Koloth, and Kang were traditional klingons, in TOS they weren't (could be explained via surgery after ENT explained away the ridges)

In ENT we meet ferengi
