These are things you should know:

Here's what you should know about pineapple on pizza: No one orders pineapple on pizza by itself, or with random toppings. Pineapple is a topping on Hawaiian pizzas, paired with ham.

Ham and pineapple go together very well, it's a salty sweet combination. You might have had pineapple in the glaze of a full, baked ham, or pineapple slices tacked right on the side while it's baking (like my mom used to do). Its perfectly normal and putting the two on a pizza may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it is certainly not something that is random or strange.
