I'd figure I would do a new post of (whats your avatar from), but have it go a bit deeper. So....

The story behind my Avatar:
My gif that i found was from just after WWE Royal Rumble '92 with Ric Flair winning the then vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Why was it vacant, you ask? Hogan & Undertaker had a pair of matches close together. Both traded wins, but by neferaious means. Storyline WWE President, Jack tunney held the title up after that & put the title up for grabs in the '92 Royal Rumble(30 competitors, 2 start, with another entrant every 2 minutes. Winner is the last remaining competitor.) Flair entered at #3 & lasted the duration.

My Avatar is the ship that I have been using since the beginning of STO- the U.S.S. Kettle Creek. Like the crew of the Enterprise, I am very loyal to my ship... and only stray from it to gain abilities or traits from other ships.

Currently, it's because I saw the Alita film, and like the character Alita, other times it's likley going to be D.Va or a cat, usually just an avatar of a character, or animal, or thing that I like!

I love the Excelsior ship and found the pic buried in some Google searches. I think the creator made a few others in a similar style for other ships.

Well I am a big fan of Mel Brooks and an even bigger fan of Spaceballs. This is my current avatar I sometimes switch them up.

My avatar is one which I use just about everywhere in various locations. There's a bit of a story behind it due to me using the general format for a very loooooong time and have made numerous changes over the years.

It originated back in my Halo days, using the Valkyrie Emblem (a winged sword) with an arrowhead design as the background. I use various shades of blue and grey because they are the colors I tend to use on my characters in games. I finally chose the username which I use in just about every online / gaming around this time and decided the arrow made for a good, stylized version of the letter 'A'.

My Original Avatar

Eventually, I started making my own Avatar, keeping the same general format as before. I didn't like the way the sword fit into everything so eventually dropped it from the design and realized my "winged arrowhead" reminded me of a Phoenix preparing to fly for the first time following resurrection. This change has been the basis of all of my Avatars ever since.

My First Avatar without the Sword

Afterwards, I've only really made changes to the wings. As I've also gotten better at drawing, there have been a lot of smaller changes to the designs to make them more unique and original. At times, they are more organic, like the original, but often I make them take on a more mechanical appearance. I have done some experimenting with the wings with their orientation, raised upwards or, like my current one, down.

I love the idea of this thread!

Mine's not as well-planned as Asteropax's. Mine is a composited graphic that I found online and thought would be an excellent homepage graphic for my work-in-progress text-based RPG. If anyone's ever played any variant of Legend of the Green Dragon, that's what I'm using. Been doing it for a long time, and felt that a Trek resurgence is just what I needed to kick me in the aft quarters and get going on the project.

My Current Avatar is based off my STO captain I mainly use most games I play I will always base the Avatar of my real life self it just one my own little habits.

I changed mine a while ago to the picture of Sanguinius as GW's Forge World branch released a resin model of him that I've yet to assemble and paint. Once I've done that, I'll probably change it to a picture of the model.
