Do any of those actually serve any useful purpose these days? I already have a distinct lack of parking space for my top level ships, I can only imagine that most players have it a lot worse?

Are there any actually useful consoles or ships in that category ? Honest question, I've never really looked at anything under T6, I figured it was all obsolete...

Wow, great news.

Firstly for admiralty it'll be great to build up ship numbers on alts.

Secondly because some of those ships do have useful items occasionally, especially for leveling toons early on.

And finally i think this might unlock some costume parts for a few ships too?

For the costume parts it will be nice. Also some Console Set Bonuses.

However being able to get a T6 ship and level it up from the beginning did render the T1-T4 ships obsolete. I'll have to take a look and see what ships I could obtain to get some set bonuses.

Well this is a very nice surprise. I thought they were just going to eventually mothball them. Keeping them around at lower costs is always nice. Especially nice for people who don't play Romulan or Klingon as often. You can stock up on ships pretty quickly.

I must say that I guess we'll be seeing more T6s if that's the case. Wouldn't be surprised if after this they announce a T6 Nova with a new specialization. And I'm not even trying to joke about that anymore.

There are some useful ships at lower tiers for completing console sets. One example which springs to mind is the Tier 3 Romulan ship, Valdore. It has a console to complete the set along with T5 Mogai and T6 Morrigu.

For someone who's got them all it is pretty great. I do find it hilarious though that some people are complaining that it is per character. Like, the pricing is basically dollar and you can buy a whole T1-4 set. Besides, we need some more dil sinks anyways. This is the best way to do it.

Thank the stars all the T1 to T4 ships I already want, I got with Zen ages ago, account wide, and less hassle to get hold of. I ain't saving up dilithium to unlock a low level ship for one character. Boring change, would rather see a return of the foundry.

The same exists with the T4 Defiant. You get the quad cannons, an excellent weapon, that also completes the set with the T5 & T6 versions to obtain the battle cloak.
