Personally, I play for little bits here and there, but the content drought is why I play little bits. I just can't get myself invested in playing for hours on end when there's nothing new to see. A new TFO is nice, but I'd like actual meat in my MMOs.

I especially figured that with the Legendary Pack, that we'll see some more content coming. From the looks of it, it just might all be reworked content and that's it. Which would suck if that's the case. I'm hopeful though, as it might also be Empire-centric content which the game sort of needs.

I also play FFXIV, FGO and Azur Lane, so that eats into my time as well.

I think the Iconian and Vaadwaur story arcs were the game's "Golden Age". They were really fun and interesting. Seems to have dipped since. I think if the small tidbit quality of life issues were addressed better, I think this game would fare better, i.e. server stability...

As with many MMOs, there is always an ebb and flow of activity around content. People play, do everything they wanted to do, then move on to other stuff. Yet return when there is some new content. It's the cycle of life for games.

For it's age, STO is doing well I think. Frankly, it's the only MMO for the IP that's worth the effort IMO. It should be good for a few more years before support goes into maintenance mode.

I mean, weekly patches is a good sign. Even if it's to tweak this or that (and sometimes bigger things) they've admitted that some issues come from the original coding they simply can't fix because the knowledge that made them is gone.

Every multiplayer game I've played in the last 16 years (MMOs and normal ones) has seen a significant activity drop in summer. Also it's summer sale... I bought both seasons of Telltales Batman and was binging them.

I come on from time to time to do events. ATM none are going. I've lvled multiple characters up through the years and done reputation on each of them plus many reputation projects. Same jazz over and over. I really do wish they release content like they used to do. Release multiple episodes not this one every month or two. Events can only hold onto players for so long.

I've been on, but most days I'm on at very random times and not for all that long. I'm almost always trying to help my wife get ready for work during the Saturday TFO runs, and since I'm working from home until at least September, I always have the kids in the background which pretty much nixes the opportunities to get on voice chat with everyone. That pretty much just leaves the daily endeavors and events to grind in the game right now, which as others noted has become a never-ending chore with frankly lackluster prizes for the most part lately. Hopefully this new Klingon content will drop soon and breathe a little new life into the game for a while or the Risa event ship turns out to be promising stat-wise and draw some people back, but until then it probably will be fairly quiet for the time being.

Fair point and I would agree, though the way I read it was that the kind of people who don't care about it, are the ones referring to it like that. I mentally inserted quotation marks around it.

This went downhill quick. TBH anything else on that sensitive subject could now be directed via PM to the affected members. I assume responsibility on my own part for setting the spark, but it will be I who will redirect ships communications.

I love this game and spent quite a bit of money on it, no judging, hope to see more life in the UFP chat instead of reading ESD chat, lol...
