Fallout 76 - Wastelanders

I realise I'm in the minority when it comes to Fallout 76, but it may be about to turn a corner after a troubled history. Tomorrow (April 14th) sees Wastelanders release as a free update to the game. This will bring NPC's back to the game in 2 factions, the raiders and the settlers, new armours and the return of some classic weapons such as the PPK12 Gauss Pistol. I know it has a lot of damage to undo, but I'm quietly excited. Been on a break from the game for a while, but it looks like the wait in the trenches may well have been worth it in the end. We'll see.

G2A.com are selling fallout 76 for £15.55 so I grabbed a key. gonna take a while to download though!

played a few hours, I'm enjoying it, not had much chance to see what wastelanders changed as I didn't progress very far. how do we play together with UFP members?

I took a quick look into FO76 yesterday and Wastelanders actually changed quite a bit of the game. I've never been on the doom and gloom train, I enjoyed the game but it was neither WoW nor Fallout 4. This update is breathing new life into the game and I will be around Appalachia for sure.

The Fallout 76 seasons begin this Tuesday (June 30th) with Season 1: The Legendary Run.

In basic terms, think of it as being along the same lines of the Fortnite Battle Pass - there's 100 ranks and each rank spits out a reward (at account level) for you, be it armour paints or the much requested and surely to be coveted Ammo Convertor.

Does '76 charge a monthly fee? Thinking about getting into it cuz I'm tired of fallout 4 and Preston.

Only if you want Fallout Plus but once you buy the game, its F2P

Great! Though does Fallout Plus have good perks? Just curioys.

The 2 main perks of Fallout 1st are that it allows you to log into a private world for adventure mode instead of the public instances (handy if you're farming something or want to take a workshop without someone trying to attack it) and then there's the scrapbox, which grants you infinite space to store all scrapped junk instead of having to use your stash and get bogged down in weight management. The sheer convenience of it can't be understated, as it's difficult to go back to the original setup if you give it up.
