real off topic question here but i hope one of you can help me...
So I have a GT Omega Classic wheel stand (pic below) which is great but as it folds it is a little wobbly sometimes and as I am planning on getting a rear frame/seat to make it a full permanent cockpit I want to add some vertical braces where the red line is to add rigidity.
I kinda know what I want, some square tube with an attachment top and bottom to bolt it to the stand. Trouble is I have no idea what I am looking for, probably something from a hardware or building supplier store but I dont even know where to start looking so if someone has an idea what i can use please let me know.

Some mild steel tubing should do the trick. Cut a groove in each end so it slots around the existing pieces then drilling for the bolts. That said, if those arms are adjustable and you want to keep that, you'd need to start putting channels into the pieces to give clearance and such. You might just be better off welding it onto the outside stationary pieces of the frame in that case.
Another alternative is to weld/bolt a couple of brackets to the frame that you can simply attach the strut to.

Trouble is I dont have the tools for cutting or drilling metal, I suppose what I want is something similar to scaffolding (that bolts together) but on a smaller scale
