How much time (in story) has past since the end of the last mission? Days? Weeks? Months?

AFAIK, the mission to hit the Nausican base is ongoing. The wedding is about to take place and Max is starting his surgery.

I'd say that no more than a week has gone by since the survivors of the shuttle disaster returned.

I think in story, a couple of weeks.

In reality......about 2000 years.

Medical schooling doesn't move that fast, and likely probably won't finish for at least another 6 months at an accelerated pace. hahaha.

If you noticed, I put the last Nausicaan leader in a tunnel under the building Thane is in, so you can do what you will with him. Id think he got ubder there through a hatch or something in the floor thats visible. I guess Kraijin would be able to sense him. Take him into custody, or even let him escape like I think someone suggested in the past. Its your choice, have fun!

OK, so it's been a while since we last had a discussion about the Ares.

Obviously with everything going on IRL, it's difficult to get to writing storylines. My question is this; would you like to take an official hiatus until we all have more time available to write more often?

This isn't a post to try and generate more posts from everyone, I'm genuinely interested to see if we should pause the story, allow people to let us know when they're back so that we can carry on from where we left off or wrap the current mission and start a fresh plot line.

Let me know your thoughts so that I can take them to UFP command.

I'm for wrapping up and moving to a fresh mission. I haven't had much to write, as realistically, my plot-story is waiting for time to move forward.

I know that some are still wrapping things up, so it's all good as well. You can't rush creativity.

I'm going to split the middle of Silynn and Josh: Wrap, then "pause" slightly before the new mission. What I mean is that we jump ahead to whatever point Silynn can start posting, and leave things open for people to post independently or together before the actual next mission starts. Sort of like what I believe happened at DS9 before this mission started, although I only remember reading some of it, because I wasnt playing then. Basically, let people rp the prologue to the next mission, if they choose.

If you have another player as part of the plot and they haven't been around for a while, go ahead and respectfully use their characters and/or NPCs. Once those plotlines have been closed out, we'll take a hiatus and then restart at DS9 when everyone has more time.

Does the hiatus have to be a "hard hiatus," or can people post solo stuff that doesnt directly have to do with Chapter 2 in the interim? To me it makes sense to pause before starting Chapter 3, but if might be nice for people to RP out little personal storylines if they choose, just to keep something going.

Absolutely you can post personal stuff. I'd encourage character posts by anyone that has the time to do them.

The thread isn't totally wrapped as people hadnt yet finished their stories. I just put the post up to let people know that we're heading back to DS9 once the individual plots have been resolved. You can still post up mission stuff, personal logs and character development.
