I am currently BURNING OUT that console and loving it. But the Transwarp Computer console is "teh s00k". The 2-pc looks neat, but there are soo many other consoles to use that gives more back in passives or combinations.
Just my bars on that.

I am actualy thinking about printing an 1/700 model of the Excelsior after the Daedalus and some other models including a 1/700 Sovereign are done.

It's abundant use probably comes down that to the fact that it's an existing, great looking, ship design and always had somehow a peripheral so people were familiar with it.
But the ships of that era are just really great looking. All those in that First Contact scene (Akira class, etc...) too - I was sooo disappointed when I saw Riker's fleet in the finale of Star Trek Picard Season 1. Those ships were just awful, some kind of blurred out Ambassador class overdone in a not so good CGI. What a disappointment that was.
