I think it's excellent, really one of the best shows this year and last.
SW seems to translate nicely to the small screen and the episodes themselves are nice tightly written and created so that the story is well told each week but with just enough overarching story to keep you going. It feels to me like each episode is the equivalent of a single act in a bigger film.
The production is still top notch despite only being a TV series; and the short cast list probably helps. Good characters too for that matter; and the world around them really feels like old school SW.
I'd put it up there with Rogue One as the best SW experience that feels like the original trilogy. And if the spin off show from R1 can be as good as this then I think we're in for a treat!

The Mandalorian is indeed a great series. Very well done regarding visuals and classic Star Wars characters and storytelling.
To be honest, for some magic reason I enjoy it more at the moment than Star Trek Discovery.

Excellent season, awesome ending, and even a surprise post-credits scene to announce news that wasn't even in the deluge of Disney Investor Day announcements. For as many ups and downs Disney has suffered trying to find success with their movies, they have been solidly on top of it bringing the Star Wars franchise to the small screen so far.
