The second of our battles in the UFPlanets.com Starfleet Ship Tournament, from the bottom of the bracket, we have the U.S.S. Excelsior VS U.S.S. Bozeman! One again, state your case for your ship of choice, or if you have already made up your mind, cast your vote!

Going to have to be the Excelsior for this one, just because the Soyuz class was being phased out of the fleet at the time the Excelsior was coming into it.

I went with the Bozeman, on the basis of, if it got stuck in a loop vs the Excelsior, it would win, over and over.

I chose the Excelsior because both ships were from a similar era with similar armaments, the biggest difference is size and I would think that with that size comes a stronger hull, shields, and better power output

I never liked the design of the U.S.S. Excelsior, so I go for the U.S.S. Bozeman.

Went with the Excelsior. Assuming it would be an easy win with Sulu in the command chair. If it was Captain Styles still in command instead, I assume the Bozeman would probably have ran circles around the ship instead, painted profanities on her hull, and towed her back to spacedock where they would hand Starfleet's commander-in-chief that riding crop thing Styles played with.

I dont particularly like Excelsior personally; despite the over complicated engineering though, I'd still put money on it over a Soyuz.

I've had to go Excelsior with this one. As others have mentioned it's the larger ship and they're from the same era, so overall armaments would be the same. I think the potential power generation of the Excelsior would allow them to keep things like shields running for longer in a fight
