Greetings,
In an effort to focus my limited game time in real life, and to be more forwardly active, I am trying to become involved as I can while truly examining what I wish to get out of the gaming communities I have joined.
Personally, a life long trek fan, I work in several different fields with broad ranging skill needs, and that takes up a great deal of time but also affords a decent amount of downtime. I play an Engineer, RP as an engineer, and even attempt to be one in real life. I have started some other characters including a Delta recruit, and a temporal operative, which I am enjoying working through the additional components.
I am hoping to meet others who enjoy casual gaming here, as well as a broad and healthy understanding of RP, and personal enjoyment. To that end, I fully understand that I will be playing the game wrong. I have no ambitions to chase DPS, completion times, or any other parser number chasing; I fully support those who seek that challenge and will be happy to accompany them on their journey. I personally hate meta-gaming, and outright refuse to go along with whatever the current "meta build" might be simply on the fact that game mechanics dictate it as "best". To me, that takes the whole fun out of everything. If others enjoy that, I will support them in chasing that challenge.
I do have a few personal goals, and would appreciate learning from those who have much more knowledge than myself about different options for completing those dreams. I would like to perhaps be moved to a fleet in which I can learn how to contribute resources and build meaningful help to the alliance on the whole. If that is not possible, no worries.
I do hope I can contribute to the groups enjoyment in some meaning full way. Thank you for having me.

Thanks for the reintroduction! I see you're from Atlanta, which is only about two hours away from me (via I-85N). I, too, do not play by the meta rules... I choose ships solely on my personal preferences and then do with them the best I can within the confines of how I want to play the game.
