Now Armarda and Amarda II were fantastic but this look a little like Stellaris, only the way the map is at the end.

have to see what they produce!

I saw this, this afternoon and I won't lie, my inner nerd started getting excited as I suspected the same as you about it Hedge.

Hopefully it'll be a nice cross between BOTF, Stellaris and Armada

Thanks for adding that, master of Orion was actually quite a good game so high hopes for this one

Ohh I am interested, hopefully you can have s many factions or eras. As an Enterprise fanboy it would be fun starting from the bgining of Starfleet and making my own path.

I won't lie, I'd love to be able to start in that era as the NX class was one of my favourite looks (pre-refit).

I know there's a BOTF mod which lets you start around the TOS era and Star Trek Supremacy (the BOTF 2 fan made project) does start in that era.

I was thinking of picking it up in the summer sale to try it.

Depending on the cost I'd recommend it, I've not played it in a wee while but if memory serves its turn based. Does have quite a few well known voice actors tho

Indeed it is. Features Michael Dorn as the Narrator, John de Lancie voices the Human Emperor. Dwight Shultz voices the news anchor, from his pre-whatever he's doing nowadays.

Mark Hamill, Alan Tudyk, Robert Englund, Fred Tatascior and of course Nolan North all appear too.

It's not a bad game at all, though it does have a bit of an abandoned feeling to it as they didn't really do a lot with it after release. Certainly worth a look though.It's not as good as Master of Orion 2 (which is itself essentially an updated and remade version of MOO) in my book, but it's leagues beyond Master of Orion 3 which is effectively a giant, fresh steaming pile of crap and that's probably the most repeatable language I can use here to describe it. It's actually somewhat worse than that.

Yeah, I've also had a look at the Steam page for the game and it's exactly what I was hoping we'd be seeing for this game.

There looks to be a release date on the actual website of October 13th so yeah, I'm pretty excited for this

It looks like it has mission trees, which look a lot like the focus trees in HoI 4, but I haven't played Stellaris in a long time, did they add that into base Stellaris?

If not, the developer might be mixing multiple things from the game engine Paradox use.

I've got it pre-ordered as it was a decent price. Been following the blogs and they're promising to say the least
