"So," Christine said, "let me get this straight. The Vorta & Jem'Hadar are completely gone?" Josh slowly nodded. "Apparently," he said simply, "With all the transmissions from the Gamma Quadrant that DS9 is getting, I think its a complete collapse of The Dominion, but we cannot be too sure." Christine shook her head, asking, "What about the Changelings?" Josh took a sip of his beer and said, "No one has any clue. I'm going to send a ship out to check at some point. Its not a top priority."

They both stared out at the yard where The Fearless was starting to get stripped down. "They don't make them like they used to." She said sadly. Josh said, "No, they don't. Gonna miss it?" Christine nodded, "Yeah. The old girl has its charm."

Christine took a sip of her beer and asked, "Does this station have a Holodeck? I need to get in some training." Josh nodded, saying, "It should. I don't know much about the base myself. I've never been here." Josh then started to tap the table in seemingly nervousness. "This Remmick parasite has got every admiral & their mother from earth to the galactic rim extremely nervous. Obviously, Starfleet has been comprised." Christine nodded and said, "Been working on a vaccine?" Josh shrugged, "Someone from outside Starfleet is working on it now. No one in the chain who it is & their identity isn't on any computer systems. It'll stay that way for the time being."

The door opened to reveal some of her fellow crewmembers.

A day after arrival - 1630 hours


Thane had spent the start of his day after arriving doing nothing but paperwork, reading the reports and studying the information gleaned from the Dominion ship. Two entire species just vanished like that because of thier own stupidity and greed for power. Later on that day a special friend had passed through with his own command, the Helios, a Prometheus class cruiser. Thane and its Captain spent the night unwinding and otherwise enjoying private company.

The Helios departed later in the current day with a much happier Captain on both sides. Thane attended the local bar on station in uniform but a more casual in nature. Specifically his uniform today being that of his honor guard uniform. He sat on a stool at the bar with a grin on his face and a glass of some Synthetic liquor of one kind or another. "Evening there." Hr greete Christine.

To be fair, Thane was still rather annoyed with the Endeavour and its commsnd, along with the Admiral that tried to interfere with his job.

STARBASE 185 B | ONE DAY AFTER ARRIVAL- 1400 HOURS


Rawat after coming to the station, collapsed in his bed. Yesterday was a tiring day for him indeed. After sleeping for a hour or so he woke up and decided to visit the promenade. He was exploring the station thinking to himself Damn, this station might be one of the busiest I've ever been to, maybe next I'll go to the bar and find some of my crew.. As he was moving, something caught his eye, An old friend from the academy, he got confused because he told him that he was stationed on some other starship. When they both made eye contact. Rawat and his friends face lit up and they talked about an hour or so, which only ended because his friend had to relieve the current tactical officer in ops. Rawat then made his to the bar where he found the captain, Admiral and Celo, a fellow Science officer. He approached them and gave him his greetings, Greetings Admiral, Captain, Ellen, Mind if I join you?. He moves his head to signal the bartender to come take his order, "A glass of Samarian Sunset, make it sweet."

About a day after arrival - 1630 hrs




Katie looked out the window of the Transient Officers quarters on Starbase 185-B. Putting down her last bag of stuff and clicking the button her PADD to say that all her belongings and herself were off the ship. She may not have been on it very long but the first ship of any officer is special, and the Fearless especially so. A ship of time gone by with all of her quirks she was just what Katie loved about starships.

She had taken what was quite a scenic route back to the Starbase, travelling through Engineering, the bar, and shuttle bay. All the places that were important to her, The shuttle bay where she first stepped onto the ship, Engineering where she did all of her work and the bar where she made her first posting friends. She probably wasn't going to see most of them now, but they has exchanged comm codes for a reason so hopefully she wouldn't fall out of touch with too many.

She wasn't really sure what to do with herself now. Starfleet had promised her she would get a new shipside assignment soon enough but to take some R&R first. She decides to get out of her uniform and into one of her jumpsuits. Picking out a deep purple one and putting a black jean jacket over the top. Grabbing a PADD and heading out she was going to see if she could do some practise Engineering work in the holodeck on Starbase but found herself getting turned around and ending up in the observation lounge looking onto the Fearless, already there was a few workers flying over it and assesing how much of it could be used for future projects. It seems cruel to take something with so much life and personality and split it up but here we are. The thing Katie will miss the most is the hum of the Fearless's warp enginer. Half of what she was planning to do today was code up a background noise matching the hum.

But that could wait she see her Chief, or she supposes Ex-Chief now she's not the Chief Engineer of the Fearless. Speaking to an older gentelman who she has some resemblance too. Katie hasn't seen him before but doesn't want to intrude but she hopes Urquhart is taking the loss of the Fearless ok. As Katie is at the Observation Lounge anyway she gets a drink from the bar and sits herself down to start programming up this background hum. It's easy work and having the Fearless right there helps her concentrate. Doing some proper Engineering can wait, after all who knows what sort of computer system she might need to help with on her next assignment

1630 Hours

Thane stood out amidst the civillians and officers of Starbase 185-B not only for being a Ferasan who proudly wore his clan paint. But also his current style of dress. That being his Honour Guard kit. The chest plate had been fixed to a pristine standard since it took damage on the Fearless. He had forgone the cloak and run with the rest though, slimmed down slightly per his preferences.

He still bore his assigned Starfleet Commbadge and the Order of the Bat'leth insignia with its subspace beacon built in. Everyone knew who he was though and honestly, he cared not for the side eye some would give. All they got was his ignorance or a warning side-eye in return. When someone spoke up to ask to join, Thane looked to Rawat, a new officer assigned to the Fearless crew. Well.. Ex-Fearless crew now waiting in limbo for a new assignment. Thane honestly hoped it would be a newer ship, a Vesta class, Prometheus.. something. Anything. Just not a bucket of scrap.

A day after arrival - 1630 hours

Chris stepped off the shuttle into the arrivals area of the starbase, his eyes looking between each of the people who were coming and going looking for any sign of trouble. It was a hard habit to break as a security officer as you never knew what was around the next corner.

He looked at the directory for the station and saw there was a bar nearby, this being the best place to get a better feel for the station as if something was going to happen, it'd likely be there.

He made his way there quickly, moving through the crowd with ease until he reached the entryway of the bar.

As he stepped inside the first thing that drew his attention was the Faresan stood with a combination of Starfleet and KDF attire. He kept the glance quick as he made his way to the bar, taking a seat and flagging down a server.

"Samarian Sunset please, and make it quick" he said before turning around and watching the crowd.

If it wasn't for your Officers we probably wouldn't have found the child in time. The shock of losing his mother would have been too much for him alone. I couldn't imagine what the child's mother went through. They must have tried to... coerce her while keeping the child sedated in order to get her to direct her child to wipe out another species... perhaps us. She must have held on for as long as she could.

Josh noticed the three legends enter and approach the bar. "Come on Christine," he said, "i want to introduce to some people." Christine looked over at the bar & her eyes widened. "You're kidding," she said desperately, "now?!?" Josh nodded, saying, "I have to talk to Ben anyways."

They approached & Josh said, "Gentlemen, how are you enjoying your night?"

"Very good." Josh said, then gestured to Christine & said, "This is my daughter, Lt. Cmdr. Christine Urquhart."

Christine nodded nervously & Josh said, "Your grandmother would've been ecstatic to see this." He smiled widely, then directed his words to Ben Sisko. "Ben, can we have a word?"

"Sure," Josh said, "I have no problem speaking to you here." He then asked Guinan, "If you have it, Glenora Scotch Whiskey." then said to Sisko, "I do have a mission for you. Simply check on the changeling home world, after you talk to Starfleet Command and you reconnect with Jake & Cassidy. I'm sure they miss you greatly."

"Thank you Captain." Rawat sat on the chair next to the Large Fesaran Captain. He said to the captain, "How are you holding up? Fearless may be a dinosaur but people still have sentiment to a ship which they serve in, especially command."

The Server comes up to the table with a Samarian Sunset, which Rawat takes a sip of and thanks the server. Rawat asks,"Do you know what ships the crew will be assign-. As he had been looking around he had seen Rawat looking in his direction, as he signaled him the security officer nodded, briefly turning around to take the drink which the server had brought over to him.

As he took a sip, which told him that the replicators here clearly weren't up to the same standards of real alcohol which he'd had in various bars, he walked over to Rawat and nodded at the question posed.

"Yeah I had a bit of a look around, it seems like a fairly decent station all told. Too many people though, I hate to think how hard security here have it. Just takes that one person to slip through."

He gaze briefly went onto the ships in the dock which the bar looked onto.

"Any idea where we'll all be ending up?" he asked as more of an open question to the group, as he hadn't been given any specifics as of yet.

They approached & Josh said, "Gentlemen, how are you enjoying your night?"

We are just getting started, Admiral and Lt. (nods while he takes long sip)


Good evening.(Picard grasps the bottle of Woodford Reserve and pours more into both Officers glasses) I have been enjoying my time with Benjamin, Admiral Broughm.. (smiles)

"Very good." Josh said, then gestured to Christine & said, "This is my daughter, Lt. Cmdr. Christine Urquhart."

Ah yes I am very familiar with Lt. Urquhart Admiral. I am also proud of how well she has done aboard the Fearless... even taking over the Chief Engineer position. Nicely done. (Raises glass before nodding and drinking in commemoration)

Both Admiral and Lt.smile as they turn away from the Commodore and Captain. Sisko and Picard both turn their stools slightly to face each other as both men take another sip to collect themselves. This time it is Sisko who pours more Bourbon into both glasses slowly and methodically showing no sign of alcoholic inebriation.


Should we already be charging in to the Dominion Homeworld to verify the existence of the Founders? Wouldn't it be more prudent to explore and map the Gamma Quadrant fully before risking an act of war of aggression with the Founders who could believe we are taking advantage of their loss of their entire fleet?


(Takes a deep breath before answering) In light of your recent acts in assisting Captain Thane with obtaining the origin and cause of the disappearance of the Dominion, Jem'Hadar, and Vorta you have been promoted to the rank of Commodore, and you are being given the jurisdiction of the Endeavor, Nakayama, Ares, and the Defiant. You will also retain responsibility for DS9. however you will have to choose to assign a new Captain. I was just informed that Kira Nerys has requested to step down from being the Captain of DS9.


Really? I cannot imagine Nerys not on DS9. Has she mentioned a reason why?


It would seem that your return has had a profound effect upon her. She is joining the Bajoran Religious Order fully. I recommend you choose Commander Wolf to succeed Captain Kira. (Takes his first sip since his refill)

"Thanks, Guinan." Christine said. She took a sip and said to her dad, "Let's sit at that window." Gesturing to the large window overseeing the yard. Her father nodded and follows her to a booth directly against the window.

"You know I'm immensely proud of you," Josh said plainly, "with how you handled this situation with the Remmik worm. I do want to say that I've been a bit of a bonehead myself during all this." Christine smiled, saying, "No more than usual." Josh chuckled, then asked, "What's next?"

Christine thought for a moment, then said, "Same ♥♥♥♥, different boat. Still intend on taking those command tests for the CE posting. Might even as if I can do the Kobiyashi Maru." Josh's eyes widened, saying, "You are nuts. That test can take YEARS off your life." She shrugged and said, "It gives me a good sense of what I can do. Didn't you take the test yourself?"

Josh shook his head, "No, but something similar. Mass triage event simulation. Was never right in my head since." Christine was about to say something when a young ensign rushed to the Admiral and said, "Sorry, but this needed to be delivered by hand, sir! Secure message from Starfleet Command, priority one-alpha." He took the padd & nodded to the ensign. Quickly reading it, Josh said, "You have got to be kidding me." He got up and said, "I gotta go." Christine said, disappointed, "Back to work?" Josh said, flatly, "Not by my choice." He eyed Commodore Picard approached him quickly.

He got in his ear and said, quietly, "My office when you're done here. We may have a major situation at the R & D yards." He then look at Christine and said to her, "Tegan is on DS9. She's waiting for an available transport to get here. Give her a ring." He then hurried out of the bar.

Christine smiled and thought, "I intend to."

After recieving his own drink, a large glass of some strange and foreign ale. Likely from his homeworld. Thane looked over to Rawat first with a slight incline of his head. "I am great! I am doing really well! Thank you for asking." His ears twitched and what could be seen as a smile spread on his face. "As for your next question, The Fearless was a Relic that has a great deal of potential, potential that is being wasted. It need to be brought up to the standard of technology. That is, post-war. Its cloak needs to be fixed, a task I could theoretically acconplish with materials and time. I have connections in ports around. Ablative Hull Armour, updated phasers from inferior ball emitters to strips with Capacitors every ten plates and likely a dedicated generator to help. Launchers retrofitted to fire Quantum as well as photon." He smiled. "It has potential, like any ship. Plus a crew to match. But it was vastly unprepared for this space. If we had in theory encountered a Dominion ship intent on having a fight. We'd be the Odyssey all over again. Phased Polaron weapons would breeze through its shields like they weren't even there." He then thought for a moment.

"Thats not to say my crew is not exceptional and really pulled things together. Everyone did." He refrains from a further rant or blunt honesty. "As for ships and crew? Unknown. I want us to stay together though. I'll be needing a new XO though. Orders havent come through. Bring Chris over, sure! When the question about drinks comes up he grins. "Surprise me. I'm always open to new things from different cultures."

The temptation to brush over the minds of the admirals nearby was strong, though he suspected the El'Aurian may be more than aware of that and the others likely to have some training in resistance. But in places like this, guards are down.

He did cast a side eye towards a certain Admiral that tried interfering with his ship though and made a mental note about them. When Chris comes over, Thane inclines his head to the man. "I had said before I would rather our crew atick together. You all work very well together and I believe such a crew should be kept together for a time before going to new places."

When the question about drinks comes up he grins. "Surprise me. I'm always open to new things from different cultures." Rawat smiled at the captain and said to him," Got it." and left to get two glasses of Napolean Brandy. He came back and sat next to the captain and said," New ship, New drink" and chuckled "I've heard great things about this but never got the pleasure to drink it before." He answers the Fesaran on his lack of knowledge on the ship we will be assigned with,"Eh, Any shipw would work for me."

"Yeah I had a bit of a look around, it seems like a fairly decent station all told. Too many people though, I hate to think how hard security here have it. Just takes that one person to slip through." Rawat smiled at him and playfully hit him on the shoulder saying, "Old habits die hard, eh? Enjoy the crowd, not analyze it."to answer Chris' question about the ship Rawat replied,"Anything which has some scope in scientfic exploration but also packs a punch."

Katie Green was still working on her Warp hum noise and ocasionally looking to the Fearless slowly being powered down outside when she needed an extra peice of code she was sure she could find somewhere in the open source database. Before she could find what she was looking for she came across a program that seems to have been added into holodeck suites recently. A half premade program to let anyone have thier own Enterprise level adventure, and take on any role, hero, villian and it has safegaurds to make sure anyone can play any bridge role and be safe. However it does still have a little Beta mark next to it. So Katie would probably have to sit a console tweaking it while the story was happening to make sure it didn't crash or go way off the rails. It looks like it would just take an afternoon to do, could be fun to get the crew together, position it as a team building exercise so we can get the time booked in the holosuites by the Captain. Adding the perfect Warp hum to Katie's engineering practise simualtion can wait, she's got an adventure to plan.

Seeing Thane, Rawat and Chris all sitting round a table Katie decided to approach them. "Hey guys, How are you all doing?"

After everyone had gone over thier answers Katie then started to explain what she had found. "So, while I was messing around in the code of a Holodeck program for some fun I had a look through some of the open source programs out there and found this program called 'Crisis Point: An Adventure Creator' with the tag line 'Have your very own Enterprise level adventure while fuffiling your dream and being any role, even a villian'. However when I had a proper look it seems the villian coding is the main reason that the program is still in it's Beta test phase. But I thought it would be a fun thing for the crew, it's not empty of bugs so I would need to sit most of it out to make sure the story runs ok but I thought it would be a good chance to run things as a crew. You know relax, do some cross department team building, that sort of stuff. So would any of you be interested, it would probably only take an afternoon, though we should probably do it in a day or two when I've fixed all the known bugs and tested a few things." She says nervously. Worried her captain might think its silly to suggest such an event.

Katie finally takes a moment to pause and sees that not all the faces around her are convinced. Upon double checking her PADD she notices it has a Starfleet certified logo. "It was made by Starfleet personel, looks like some Junior Officers on a California Class, and we can pick whatever ship we want. Though if it's not in the data base I will have to program it up so that might take me a bit longer. So what do you think, worth having a go at?" she asks nervously, hoping at least Chris and Adwik will want to do it. Making a mental note to also bring it up to Jack and Christine later.
