Hello everyone,

I understand there are a lot of people who need help at the moment, and frankly we have nowhere else to turn. I really do appreciate all the help and support you’ve shown not only for Chloe’s situation, but also for Alex’s cat as well.

Keval and I received a phone call today that no one wants to receive. Keval has lost a parent. It happened rather suddenly as well. We are hoping to be able to go to the services that will be held next week in the US. However, our finances aren’t looking to great at the moment but it is important we be there.

Keval’s parents have always been there for us so it’s only right that we be there for them.

Flights are really expensive at the moment and we cannot afford it for both of us. I’ve already exhausted what I have because of other bills that needed to be paid and my hours were reduced at work.

I understand this doesn’t look good for me since I was asking for help for Chloe not that long ago. Please understand, I wouldn’t post this unless I’ve already exhausted all other options.

After reviewing our finances, it appears we are approximately £400 short at the moment. With my reduced hours, even consolidating everything we have still leaves us short. The flight itself is £2,400.

This is just one of the many drawbacks to living so far away from family.

Thank you. We did find a cheaper flight, so now we’re only short by £250. Not much cheaper and it’ll take longer, but we’ll take whatever we can get at this point.

Just wanted to give a brief update. We are still about £60 short and I do thank everyone for helping out thus far. I’ve been looking at flights nearly constantly and it looks like if we leave on Sunday, we’ll only be short £60.

Keval also wishes me to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community. He’s never encountered a more caring community before and he truly appreciates everything everyone has done.

If part of my messages seem a bit jumbled, I apologise. I haven’t had much sleep recently.

As of now, we do have enough to book the flight to leave on Sunday and we will be back on Thursday. Although we will miss part of the services, we didn’t have much choice if we were to get the cheapest flights available without a total travel time of 31 hours.
