[FNN]http://lynxmukka.ufplanets.com/meetings/FleetMeetingDEC11.mp3[/FNN]
SECRETARY OF STATE REPORT
- Mikester92 announced in the meeting that he will be passing over the Starfleet Diplomatic Corps to Jordan, and Mikester92 will be going back to fleet business, managing fleet social affairs. In other words, he will fulfill a role such as Community Manager. More info on this is available in the recording.
- Since October to where the Fleet Changes started to be implemented in the departments, diplomatic contact with other fleets has halted, however there was a 12th fleet event earlier this month to which was successful. The department will be continuing from 1st January.
- The department is working to streamline the work required by Ambassadors to ensure things run more smoothly on a weekly basis.
SECRETARY OF INTERIOR REPORT
- Those signing Roll Call were at a good level, particularly so considering it is now Christmas time which usually produces lower activity. Those that need to be ousted are going to be sorted in the New Year.
- The new member records system is in development and progress has been good.
- There have been a few resignations and retirements lately which isn’t necessarily a good sign to see.
- There will be a push to look for a new Internal Affairs XO in the New Year.
SECRETARY OF COMMERCE & TECHNOLOGY REPORT
- The Fleet Records system has almost been completed in development, and in a few weeks will start to be used throughout the fleet. While to begin with, members won’t necessarily see a difference, over time it will make things easier for the departments and streamline processes that members have to go through, such as Roll Call.
- If people see errors with the forums, please contact Sharpkiller, since a recent vBulletin update caused issues with the LCARS template.
- A question was asked in regards to the Klingon theme; however there was bad news since it isn’t expected until at least several months after the New Year.
SECRETARY OF DEVELOPMENT REPORT
- Chris Halsey was unable to attend due to an unexpected event; however he was going to talk about the Fleet Changes. If anyone has any questions or concerns, he’s asked that people send him a PM on the forums and you’ll receive a response in a few hours.
SECRETARY OF DEFENCE REPORT
- Bondgadget introduced himself to those in the Fleet Meeting. Most recently Bondgadget has been working with SFO with the Winter Wonderland events last weekend. Having since he’s pushed the divisions to create more events so that members can have a better time.
- He has been working on reforming the divisions of the older games, so that it creates more activity for everyone to enjoy.
- Various divisional positions have opened up, except the Starfleet Harriers position which will be announced shortly. If anyone is interested in those divisions, feel free to apply.
- Bondgadget has noticed some promising members recently, to which he will create a form where newer members can fill in what they’re interested in and they can give detailed applications which can be put aside for the future to put on record.
- The SFO and HoK staff are putting together a secret event for when Free to Play launches.
STARFLEET ACADEMY REPORT
- The RSO system is now running very efficiently, and Lazereth is happy with the standards being met. Most of the targets have been filled by the support officers. Each of the professors have been working hard to get each cadet graduated, however there is a shortage at the moment, so if anyone is interested, send a PM to Lazereth.
- The Academy has now got the Entrance exam on the forums, instead of forcing members to go onto Moodle, a third party e-learning program. The possibility of putting the divisional electives is also being explored.
- There is a cadet meet-up planned, so watch this space. Listen to the recording for more details.
STARFLEET OPERATIONS REPORT
- SFO after a fairly long lull in activity has gone up, thanks to the release of the free to play build which is bring the game back to life for the division.
- The Fleet Cap in-game in Star Trek Online has almost been reached, however a contingency plan is place to be dealt with in the near future.
- There is current re-negotiation with the event officers on their positions and how much they’re going to contribute.
- With Free to Play coming next year, it would not be surprising to see member numbers shoot up and the amount of events available for members to attend to increase.
HOUSE OF KULAR REPORT
- The division has now held a meeting with all command staff and expectations of each officer have been confirmed. It's resulted in a couple going to other parts of the fleet however the plan is to re-schedule events shortly.
- Event listings are up during the week, with the trend expected to continue into the new year, particularly with Free to Play coming.
- For those wondering, Grace informed the members that Galbock is on extended sick leave, and is trying to get in contact with him since he's come on the forums.
- Grace Pryde and Mesh crafted over 200 items to be sold for the fleet bank. Overall it cost 19.5 and expected to raise 60-100m following Free to Play.
STARFLEET HARRIERS REPORT
- As previously mentioned, positions are currently being sought to be filled.
- A new Serial Roleplay is in production. Also more events for the New Year is being worked on.
STARFLEET RESERVES REPORT
- As previously mentioned, positions are currently being sought to be filled. We’re still looking for applications.
FEDERATION NEWS NETWORK REPORT
- Airik has now taken over CO’ship of the Federation News Network and as of today, Kyuusaku has been appointed the Executive Officer of the department.
- Ideas have been shared throughout the command team and will be consulting members as to what is most popular, so that the best content is delivered.
- If anyone is interested in becoming a writer, feel free to contact Airik.
FLEET CHIEF OF STAFF REPORT
- LynxMukka mentioned that he recently received feedback from a member and wanted to emphasise that members are free to bring up issues that they may have with a relevant area in the questions section of each report.
- He also thanked those that attended for filling in the Fleet Survey Form that will be used to deliver a better gaming atmosphere for members.
- Finally, a set of agenda items will be posted up before each Joint Session, in case those wishing to raise a specific issue, have a specific area to mention it beforehand.
- He finally wanted to thank those that submitted recommendations for the UFPAC, but was disappointed by some who failed to do so because they didn’t feel there was anyone to recommend.
Jordan raised an issue with the Academy in regards to a question in the entrance exam which asks how many games the fleet supports which have confused many members since it isn’t mentioned in the course material.
Grace Pryde asked what was happening with the apprenticeships, to which LynxMukka explained that it has been trialled twice before but failed. It is possible that this will be picked up for a third time in House of Kular division.
Airik raised an issue with the FNN Academy course, Lazereth and Airik will review the course. Also, if you’re a CL5 or CL6 member, grab Airik in the next week so that he can get holiday wishes for the membership.
Silynn raised an issue over Starfleet Command Admiral participation for certain Star Trek Online events. The response from SFC members was that quite a few were waiting for STO to go free to play before becoming more visible in the STO community.
Exzavior issue was in regards to Star Trek Online events a trouble that arised when he turned up to an event on time but was unable to go to an STF twice despite being signed up through the RSVP system. Dodgers responded by stating that the RSVP system is useful in determining how many people can come to an event.
LynxMukka stated that he’ll pass on the details to Dodgers for further pass on.
Mugato asked that more people pay attention to advertising more on the STO forums in regards to the fleet's recruitment threads. It was noted that it's always appreciated by those higher up in the fleet.
- It was mentioned that the December Award Ceremony is tomorrow at 21:30 UFPTIME. As many as possible should attend if they can.
- Reggie also used the time to promote the Star Trek Changelings event after the UFPAC tomorrow.
- Airik also promoted the Shuttle Wars PvP which also happens to be tomorrow before the UFPAC.
Happy Birthday to 2Step who is 41 today and Siege.
NOTE TO ALL CL5 & CL6 MEMBERS THAT THE NEXT JOINT SESSION TAKES PLACE 6TH JANUARY 2012.
