    I would like to see a captain that is different from what we have seen before. Maybe even someone of a different species than human as a captain (Worf might be a decent candidate, but kind of would like to see new characters too).

    Personally I think they need to set the series in the birth of the federation or set it after a crippling war following the events of Nemesis where the opening pilot sees the Enterptise E destroyed and Captain Picard & crew perish with all hands to make way for a flagship not under the name enterprise!

    Having met him in person, I can say he is such a class act. It would be a great move I think to ease fans knowing a true vet of Start Trek might be involved.

    Since this will be an online show, I think they will go with the new model of only making 12 episodes or so per season (down from the 20-24 in previous series). It should make it far less demanding on the actors, especially the ones who need hours in the makeup chair. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Jeffrey Combs involved given he was almost cast as Riker, and made guest appearances on DS9 and Enterprise (was he on Voyager too?)

    I would love to see Jeffrey Combs in Star Trek again, would be nice to see him playing a main character rather than his one off or recurring characters like with DS9 and Enterprise. As for Voyager I think he was only in one episode of Voyager (''Tsunkatse') as the guy that ran the fights, sadly he didn't get a massive amount of screen time and the episode was pretty forgettable and seemed to exist solely so The Rock could play himself in Star Trek.
