We all understand that 'real life' happens and things come-up. But it is considerate to at least drop a PM or note to the staff or someone saying that you have to take a leave of absence for a period of time or for an 'unknown' time. These forums provide many avenues to do just that.

That's what I'm afraid of; dZ knows he can contact us easily and seems like he would do that. I'm worried that something went wrong, or computer crashed, or family emergency. It just seems unlikely that he'd just drop off the face of the world if it wasn't something really serious, but I don't know.

I have a question on the status of Bajor in the role play. We have a number of Bajoran characters onboard and are working on possibly having an extremist group which will appear later. Would it be better to leave Bajor where it left off at the end of DS9 as a close associate of the Federation or as a Member World at this point as it has been about 6 years since the series conclusion?

It would make sense that the Bajorans would become a major Federation member world in that region in my opinion. Though I can see why they may want to stay neutral like they did for some time during DS9. I would say Bajor would be cooperative with the UFP because of how well Starfleet protected them and granted them asylum during the occupation.

Bajoran extremists would not be a part of the primary religion. They would either be a splinter group, cult or worship the Wraiths. It may end up as Athiest or Bajorans who had lost their way, consumed with revenge. This boils down to ex-resistance fighters or people who lost a great deal during the Dominion War and occupation.

Well, we haven't really thought about that yet, but in my mind Bajor is going through the process of becoming a member-world, since there are already Bajorans in Starfleet. So the Bajorans are free to join up with Starfleet, but Bajor itself is not yet fully integrated into the UFP.

We'll run it past Eaglesg and see what he thinks.

It's possible Bajor could have joined the Federation, I still see Bajor wanting to keep its independence, when considering the people, culture and history, that's what I get out of them since how long they were dominated by the Cardassians.

Whether Bajor is a Federation member or not, may not be a huge factor in the story considering we're taking off from Bajor. I imagine our extremists would be similar to the Alliance for Global Unity, AKA The Circle, led by Jaro Essa. It showed up after the Cardassian withdrawal from the Occupation of Bajor. Similarly, I see our extremists showing up after the reconstruction of Cardassia. I wouldn't say it was the government doing these attacks, just a hate group or cult that wants to see the Cardassians go down.

I think the speech over the comm will work out well for my character since he's gotten occupied with checking the cargo holds. That way Kirk and I can wrap up what we're doing and still pay attention to your character's speech.
