You know what they are going to do the the Romulan version? Include it in a bundle with a Jem and Cardie version, I bet. It'll be announced afterwards. This way they can cover all the bases. For Romulan, Jem and Cardie though, you'll likely be able to T6 them for everyone, giving that bundle a leg up on you can equip those ships to everyone now, instead of either Fed or KDF. Whereas you can't T6 the Fed or KDF ships.

I'm also betting that for our Discovery mega bundle that Recon will be the entire focus of it. And whatever we do on Recon will make us be frozen in time or something akin to that and we're stuck there until someone comes along and rescues us. I'd wager probably Nog, since we continually have a good rapport with him otherwise. All your favorites are here, Shenzou, Crossfield, Sheppard, Magee, Cardenas, Hoover and Nimitz. Not sure out of that bunch, which would be the starter. I'm not sure of these ships which would be the starter, but I would bet it wouldn't be the Shenzou or Crossfield, so as to make people pay for the megapack. Though I bet the Shenzou and Crossfield would be the Captain level ships.

Engle and Malachowski could potentially be in that mega bundle and would likely be one of the starter ships if they are included, instead of Shenzou or Crossfield. I'd lean more this way, but I think they may want to entice more people to play meaning I could see them doing Crossfield or Shenzou as the starter.


We'll also likely get a small Recon bundle for TOS and Discovery. TOS NX Enterprise (with Discovery flavours added) and Discovery Enterprise (with TOS flavouring added), so that TOS and Discovery players get some added love.

At least that's how I'm thinking things will go after these ships. And I want these ships. Damn you STO.

Well, after seeing the stats of that, the recon ships aren't going to be the mega bundle ship pack thing. That sucks. Still think we're getting one though. Just something else now I guess.

Yes, or the old T5 Patrol Escort Retrofit.
You had the exact same number of boff abilities to slot but were not lumbered with a pointless ensign level seat you didn't need.

Alternatively just make it a full uni seat that can even slot spec boffs too. That'd be cool.

Last night, I shook out the sofa cushions of all my various starships, and that provided enough dilithium to exchange into Zen so I can purchase this two-pack today when it goes on sale, without buying any Zen. Yay me. :-) I look forward to some good times with these two ships.

EDIT: someone up-thread said these ships remind them of the Vet ships. To me, they almost feel like "Mirror Veterans", in the sense that they skew to Science where the Vetships skee to Engineering. Of course, thinking about them like that only makes me pine for a warbird version, so I'm gonna stop now.
