Is it just me, or does the top of the hull between the pylons look... Jem'Hadar-ish?

I'm not a fan of the kitbash. I get it. I understand the aesthetic. That doesn't mean it's a good thing. I will still grind it out, though, because of the console. It is going to be a grinder, right? Not Lootcrated or Zen, right?

And reading the article kind of leads me to their intention to abolish fleet factions. Am I reading too much into it? Or will there be a new Recruit Event where your new toon will be ACS instead of FED or KDF?

Makes you wonder if they're trying to consolidate several factions to one using some justified reason - then on the backend they can either streamline the work on the game or downsize the team since it is ten years old - boost sales and make a push for STO 2 I'm gonna start rumors, lol...

Given the recent consoles and traits we've been getting as well as the Disco Rep Space set, Kinda makes me wonder if cryptic is trying to encourage more tanking builds, I'm probably overthinking though.

At first I was kinda put off by it, but it's actually grown on me. I'm glad it's grind-obtainable, can't wait to get it!

Upon further consideration, I'd have no problems with the visual at all if they'd used the Voyager or Oddy type of streamlined saucer. Hopefully it can be kitbashed later, though I don't really foresee getting out of the Connie.

Ohhh Omega event, new popper and emotes! I imagine the particle points will become overcrowded like crazy. Again I will be grinding from day one just like I did on the winter event to get my Breen costume and vanity shield... I must have everything!!!!

I just noticed the bit at the end regarding the Omega event:

Beginning with this year’s update, all Omega materials will be changed to Bind-to-Account-on-Pickup, rather than being tradeable with other players. However, refinement techniques have improved since the previous event, so rewards from the minigame will be a bit better, especially for those who score fewer points.

So once the stocks from previous years dry up, that's it. You're on your own if you've got a shortfall.

I would wait until the 28th to sell any Omega stuff. Most people won't read the post, but they WILL realize that they can't sell their Omega stuff anymore once the Event begins. Prices will spike until all of the Omega components are gone.

Now would be the time to buy. Before the humps figure out that there is a limited supply.
Blues are around 17,000 EC each right now.
Yellows are around 30,000 EC each.
Reds start at around 150,000 EC.

Slivers start at 200,000 EC a piece.
Shards start at 500,000 EC each.
Fragments start at 1,200,000 EC each.

Let's see where they are in a couple of days.
