General:
• Resolved an issue that was preventing the Romulan Operative Bridge Officer Trait from activating.
• T5 versions of applicable ships now properly unlock Jem'hadar Gunboats and Jem'hadar Attackship hangar pets.
• Type 6 windows will now appear correctly on the Nova family of ships.
• Vesta trim pattern has been added to all materials on the Nova family of ships.
• The Bridge Officer trait "Reboot" now has a proper icon.

Yes, they did. But required the T5 dreadnought carrier to unlock as well.

I think they broke these hangar ships--at least you couldn't buy the Jem'Hadar Gunboats at all from any store. You could only get the standard versions that came with one of the Vanguard ships. It sounds like now you can buy the Advance and Epic versions once again.

The point being, they worked with the T5 ship before, so Cryptic broke something else
I have a feeling this was actually to do with the Legendary Jem'Hadar pack. The pre-release announcement and in-game info suggested you wouldn't need the T5 or T6 Dreadnought to unlock the bug ship hangar pet, but that wasn't the case when the bundle released.
I do now have the Bug ships on my Jem Carriers after this update
