I am hoping the console and/or trait are worthwhile. Otherwise I shall only use this on my Rom or Jem captains as punishment for their races not adding some aesthetic flair to this eyesore design. Seriously, it looks like something that comes out at the doctor's office that you just know is going to mentally traumatize.

I don't like the nacelle pylons... it makes it look to much like a D7, and the saucer looks like an updated Federation Medical ship..

Seriously though, I feel if they made the saucer more like the Sovereign, so longer and slimmer the ship would probably look better.

Going by the Complete the Tutorial, this seems to be a ship everyone will be allowed to fly immediately from now on. Don't think it will only be around for the Snniversary.

New registry types
A.F.S. - Allied Fleet Ship
C.S.N. - Combined Ship Number
The ship will have it's name in both English and Klingon. Future KDF ships will have this feature as well.

No new bridge or interior at this time.
Right now only has default material but Thomas is considering more.
Ship was designed by Hector Ortiz, modeled by Tobias Richter and Thomas made the material.
Alliance logo was designed by Thomas.

Interesting - so are they just going to do alliance ships now instead of faction specific ships for the annual anniversary or other special events? Sounds like an attempt at consolidation.

Thomas via his Twitter is hopeful that if Khitomer fairs well that AFS ships will have the ability to kit bash with parts of one another.

I think that's the requirement for all T6 ships now that you can use them at any level. The last few ships have said that

I don't really like the saucer on this ship. It seems small compared to the rest of the ship. Like if an adult walked around with a baby-sized head.

Is it just me, or does the top of the hull between the pylons look... Jem'Hadar-ish?

I'm not a fan of the kitbash. I get it. I understand the aesthetic. That doesn't mean it's a good thing. I will still grind it out, though, because of the console. It is going to be a grinder, right? Not Lootcrated or Zen, right?

And reading the article kind of leads me to their intention to abolish fleet factions. Am I reading too much into it? Or will there be a new Recruit Event where your new toon will be ACS instead of FED or KDF?
