As I mentioned in chat, i'm open to one of the following:

1) summer time meet up at Schlitterbahn (new braunfels). possibly multi day if everyone is up to it. group discount possible. I can arrange. split costs.

2) a lunch or dinner in or around the houston area. once again, split costs.

So i'd like to organize a get together for {UFP} members who are either Texans or crazy enough to come be with Texans.

We *might* never get an all Texas superbowl, but this is a pretty close second.

I would like to make the get together a (potentially) multi-day outing at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, TX.

Everyone (in Texas) should know Schlitterbahn, but just in case it is a *huge* waterpark covering approximately 64 acres.

This event would be open to all members of {UFP} as well as their close family (significant other and kids) who are willing and able to make it.

I was thinking we could set this event for some point in June or July (July is probably best).

Schlitterbahn is truly a huge waterpark and needs more than one day to fully enjoy everything it has to offer. I was thinking we could make this a two or three day event.

For now, I just want to collect some information. For the next few weeks to a month, i'll be monitoring this post for information and further discussion. If there is enough interest, i'll begin to contact hotels and the waterpark to inquire about potential group discounts and start to piece together a price per person. There is no obligation at this time even if you say you want to go.

If you do wish to go *and* the event arrangements are actually made, we will discuss the final details regarding date, time, and payment.

So, please kindly answer the following if you want to go:

1) How many days would you be willing to stay? (for example, 1 day, 2 days 1 night, 3 days 2 nights...)
2) How many people would you bring with you? (wife/husband, kids)
3) What is the best timeframe for you? (for example, June, July, August, etc...) It must be a summer month.
4) How many hotel rooms would you need to accommodate your guests?

If you have anything further to add to this idea, please also post that. This is very preliminary.

*chuckles deeply and bows* Loved it since the first day Sidor submitted it, but that will change here soon with luck... I just snagged a coveted commission slot from a very skilled artist to update it so I'm not violating Sidor's copyrights.

Born and raised in Texas (it really is a whole other world), and although I hate the weather (and I don't use that lightly) I can't imagine living anywhere else.
