Looked like Space Legolas...er I mean Elnor activated some sort of distress beacon when we last see him in this episode. I am suspecting we'll see mass Qowat Milat ninja action at some point next week.
I also wonder if we'll see any "happily ever after" character stories. Seven, Riker, and Troi all lost a kid, Picard left his Elf...er Romulan kid behind twice now and watched one of Data's kids die already, Raffi is estranged from her husband and kid. Why do the writers hate kids so much?

I really like the music right after the beginning during the meeting between Commander Oh and Agnes. It's a snippet from Didcovery's Soundtrack 'Kaseelian Opera' 😇

I'm more or less happy with this episode. I enjoyed seeing Riker and Troi again, and they seemed basically true to their original characters...unlike Picard! Everyone is a lot more intimate with each other, but I guess that goes to the more emotional and over-dramatic writing, as compared to TNG.
Once again, Picard gets put in his place, but this time it felt more appropriate. Picard, throughout this series, is not acting at all like Picard from TNG, and Riker and Troi each taking their shots at him for his behavior felt deserved, and in character for them.
I liked Kestra. She was portrayed exactly as I would expect a young girl to behave in her situation. She very much reminded me of my own daughter at that age. The innocence, the curiosity, and the desire to be fast friends (with Soji) are all common characteristics of young girls of that age...especially since she seems to live in a, not totally, but more secluded situation...opportunities for friends would be few and far between.
Am I the only one who was instantly reminded of the Gelflings from 'The Dark Crystal' when seeing Commodore Oh's scene? Oh, those ears! Also, Vulcans shouldn't need sunglasses because they have a second inner eyelid for protection from Vulcan's harsh sunlight, but I guess that the writers didn't know that, or they just thought that Oh would come across more spy-like if she wore sunglasses, because everything has to be spelled out clearly for us...Fenris Rangers S.O.S. beacon medallion anyone!
I didn't care for the senseless death of Hugh. Again, it needs to be made obvious for us, the Zhat Vash are the evil bad guys...at least that's what we're supposed to believe. I'm surprised that they don't all have handlebar moustaches that they twirl the ends of when the are giving their expositions!
Even though I am not happy with where this season is going, or what it has been up to this point, I did enjoy enough of this episode to give it a like. I'm sure that it was mostly the nostalgia of seeing Riker and Troi again, but I thought that they were portrayed well...especially given how poorly Picard has been shown this season.

Yeah I kind of have mixed feelings on the character development piece. Picard being a fish out of water at the beginning of the series made sense since he was out to pasture for over a decade, but it feels like more glimmers of the captain of old should have emerged than what we've seen.
Troi and Riker being more casual and intimate makes sense, since Picard is no longer their boss as when he was the captain on the ship they served on, and their daughter was decently done too I think.
Hugh kind of got a raw deal. He saw his life's work executed before his eyes and didn't get to exact any kind of payback. One would think he would have been able to tap into something in the way of resources or aid or secret Borg tricks and traps, but instead has to trust a Romulan kid he just met to outwit a Borg cube full of Zhat Vash and Tal Shiar to exact payback. It sets Elnor for some cool character development potential, but for all the hype about Hugh being back it doesn't feel like he actually did all that much.

Awesome episode, absolutely awesome.
1) first things first. Seeing Riker and Troi again was just such a nostalgia high, it has been too long and that crew has a special place in my heart.
2) poor Hugh. But at least he got to play a part in the continuing story of Picard’s adventures. He showed Picard the true nature of the Borg, and even when his comrades were shot in front of him he did not betray what he knew to be a good cause.
3) one thing i'm liking is that the overriding plot in the background seems to be based around a fear of artificial life etc; but if anything the show is showing us through Soji and also the XB’s that artificial life and similar things are far from evil. Soji is a scared child who honestly seems like she is barely aware of what she is; and only gets violent when in danger directly.
And the XB are shown to be victims, with little choice in the matter but ultimately trying to make a better life for themselves in the face of constant mistreatment.
4) the emergency beacon Elnor used was given to Picard by Seven previously and had the sigil off the Fenris Rangers on it; I guess he stole it before beaming over.
I guess the cavalry is going to come at the eleventh hour. I think we may get a good old XB rebellion combined to a Ranger assault. Looks like it’s going to be a glorious battle!
5) nice that Soji doesn't trust anything which is far better than just having her instantly trust Picard etc. It is the much more complex decision for the story.
6) the physical actions of Soji (the head tilt for example) were just wonderful, clear indications of her heritage.
7) cures for diseases can also be made using a positronic net, interesting and adds to the vast impact the synth ban must have had on the Federation.
worst Romulan spy ever lol. What kind of noob spy follows his mark so closely without even using a cloak so they can detect you! I go he gets eaten by a space amoeba as punishment for his idiocy!
9) FINALLY some actual proof that ZV do exist! They’ve been talked about by characters like a mythical creation, and we sort of knew the bro & sis were members but it was never actually proven that the group was a genuine thing until she mentioned it by name to Elnor.

WE GET IT, the bad guys are bad. Is it necessary to kill every returning character who wasn't main cast in past shows? At least Hugh actually got SOME screentime before they killed him, unlike Maddox, but was it REALLY necessary for them to kick the dog?
I liked the episode overall, It was good to see Troi and Riker, and they had some good scenes, and showed a bit how those two have changed, but I really feel like the writers are trying to hard to pull our heartstrings, and that kinda sours things a bit. It would seem the Quat Milan and Zhat Vash have a history given what what's her name said when she was fighting with Elnor.

Honestly I felt this episode did almost nothing to further the story at all except kill off another character and potentially start some fight on the cube.
Besides that, it was dinner with the Rikers and the one person who it was obvious had agreed to work with that admiral, was revealed to be working with that admiral

Commodore Oh had her chew up and swallow a tracking beacon. That's how Narek keeps finding the ship. Agnes uses the neurotoxin on herself to flush out or disable the beacon so Narek can no longer track their movements.

Y'know seeing that the Sicarians and Hirogen had been assimilated makes me think the Delta Quadrant has gone through some tough times following voyager. Overall I enjoyed the episode and it was nice seeing Troi and Riker again.
Side note I noticed a trend:

This can only mean;

How have you guys completely missed the fact that Oh is about as Vulcan as Narissa was Human? They're Zhat Vash infiltrators, and Romulan.
