Honestly, the way this applicant "flew off the handle" at the prospect of needing to take the entrance exam makes me believe the community wasn't going to be a good fit for him or her regardless.

I think his reaction was rather extreme and wasn't really called for, perhaps he had just had a bad day or something. We aren't always going to be the right destination for everyone and I suppose it is better for both parties that this was realised so quickly.

Personally this incident has really just served to further remind me what a great group of people we do have here. We don't always see eye to eye on things, with the size and diversity of our membership that just isn't realistic but on the whole we don't have people that react so strongly over the smallest difference of opinion. When you look at incidents like this or the comments on pretty much any YouTube clip it becomes apparent just how much of a good thing we have here, long may it continue!
