    The recluse and palisade are both superb science ships. I've never been a science captain, so I wouldn't be able to supply a build for you. That being said, there are several people here who would be able to help you out with that.

    As a Romulan Sci i'd always suggest the Fleet Ha'nom if you cant/dont want to use Lobi or dropbox ships.
    It has very good shields and a high crew aswell as a decent turnrate. BUT with its Cmdr and Lt.Cmdr Science stations and 5 science console slots it is HEAVILY science focused. I can recommend drain builds aswell Shield Tank/FAW/Feedback Pulse - builds. They will make you happy and most enemies in PvE and PvP cry.

    Other than that Torp boats really work well on science ships (transphasic + breen set).

    For a drain build 9 points in flow capacitors is a must. since there are no diminishing returns for them you can also put some into all of your science consoles (i know drain builds that can drain around 200 energy per subsystem. graviton and particle generators are good for most scince builds aswell. subspace decomppiler is nice if you want to use the build-in abilities of a science ship.
