Just wanted to take a second to introduce myself here and give a little backstory...

I'm Justin, but I almost always go by JHawk. I'm 22 years old and I currently reside near Williamsport, Pennsylvania, USA. For those baseball fans out there, yes that would be the home of the Little League World Series. In RL, I am a DJ, Lighting Designer, and Sound Engineer for a Sound Production Touring Company called BLAST Entertainment based out of Williamsport, I am the Technical Director for the theater program at my alma-mater Montgomery High School, and for you sports fans I am a Producer and On-Air Personality for ESPN Radio Williamsport, where I am on the call for games here and there, and I also co-host a weekly show every Wednesday at 4pm called "The Locker Room Show".

In the world of Star Trek Gaming, I have spent time playing BOTF (which I still play from time-to-time), Bridge Commander, Starfleet Command, Dominion Wars, Away Team, DS9: The Fallen, and my favorite game series in the Star Trek Universe... Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Star Trek Elite Force 2.

In regards to STO, I have been playing off and on for about three years, and I have been a member and officer in two fleets. My first fleet, which I spend the majority of the three years with, was the 10th Fleet. There, I worked as a Recruiter in the 10th Fleet, 10th Fleet Bravo Wing, and the 10th KDF, the Head of Recruiting for the entire 10th Fleet, a Personnel Officer in the 10th Fleet, the Head of Personnel for the 10th KDF, and eventually the Executive Officer of the 10th KDF. Unfortunately, myself and several other members had strong issues with the direction the Fleet Leader was going and the politics that were taking over that eventually made me hate signing into STO each day, so I made the decision to part ways with the 10th Fleet.

This brings me to my second fleet, the Republican Guard. I was approached in-game by the new owner of the fleet, Sarek, who had just purchased the fleet from another player, BigRedDog. He had little experience with fleets at all, let alone managing one, so he asked me to join him as the Executive Officer of the fleet. The issues began in that fleet when myself and Sarek started implementing changes to the fleet structure due to the fact that, well the Republican Guard had zero structure before I arrived. The previous owner, BigRedDog, remained in the fleet and objected to the changes to "his" fleet, and attempted to take the fleet back over. Fast forward a few weeks, and fleet became inactive in a hurry with members who were use to no structure leaving and a lack of strength and organized leadership to draw in new, quality recruits. It was also around this time that Sarek completely disappeared from STO and stopped responding to my emails outside of the game, leaving me as the Acting Commanding Officer, a position I did not want. (Still to this day, I have yet to see Sarek login to STO or receive and email from him.) I gave the fleet another month to try to find some footing, but after meeting with the two officers we had left, the decision was made to divide up all the fleet resources between the few remaining active members, and disband the Republican Guard. I then decided to take a break from the game to recharge, and I did not log into STO from a week after the launch of Season 8 until a few days ago.

Now that I am back, I am excited to be rejoining the STO community at-large, and bring my four characters Hawkins (FED), H'awkins (FED), Hawk (ROM/FED), and K'Lak (KDF) into the UFP. I thank all of you for allowing me to join your ranks, and I look forward to working with all of you both in-game and on the forums as I reintegrate myself into the STO world.
