    Given that this is a huge region that has scarcely been explored -- from our perspective, anyway -- I'm really hoping this means we'll get some interesting exploration missions.

    If I'm reading right what they've said about Tier 6 ships, I'm guessing that what it means is that you'll modify a Tier 5 ship to add your choice of a specialized function, involving the addition of a specialized bridge officer.

    Given that we're moving into what, for us, is a vast region of almost completely unexplored space, I'm hoping there will be interesting exploration missions.
