Star Trek Expanse: Episode 1 - The Tear Part 1

The USS Columbus arrives at the Markonian Expanse. As they prepare to begin there mission, they are hurtled back by a unknown blast of energy which leaves a subspace tear in the fabric of space. With the Comm system damaged and warp drive inoperable, the Columbus' mission starts...

For this episode you will need to make sure you have all the required maps in the required files thread. There has been a map change and the SRP will not longer take place on the Solaris map but rather the Voyager map, created by Jordan and others, because it has more functionality then the Solaris map. As this is the first episode and there are a few first timers joining us, I would suggest everyone try to make it 20-15 minutes before 21:00 UFP Time in order to deal with any issues or problems that may occur.

Also I would suggest that if you have not already, then read the Prelude to Expanse thread. It gives a general idea of the state of the quadrant following the war and how this mission came about. Its short but very important.

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed myself. I've never done something like this, so even though I'm sure I looked a little silly, I had fun. Hopefully I will be a little better at this science officer thing next week! I've given myself homework to look into all the different science-y stuff that happened in Voyager. It would be that the best info out there comes from the series I've not watched all the way through...

I think I am going to need a map, thankfully I knew where the important stuff was but I can just imagine being sent to repel boarders and "eh... where's that then?".

I'll be on shortly, so I'll come up with a list of where everything is although, in the ur lift menu it says which deck has what on it (Y)

Well, when you step into the turbolift, and select a deck - it tells you what is on that deck
