I do remember that but there doesn't seem to be a reference to Atari in there, they were the original publishers, isn't their a trailer that shows them

Heh, I love how so much of it looks kinda ghetto now...

... and then you realize how many of those assets are still in use and you have to just laugh

Or how about the assets in the trailer like dynamic explosions and parts shearing off that never made it into the game.

Ahh, that bring's back some memories.

Kinda wish the first version of this game had gotten made, but at least Cryptic got it done. Of course it took them 3 years of a live "beta" test to get the game truly live-worthy (What I consider to be the release of New Romulus, is the STO equivalent of FFXIV 2.0)

It's amazing to see how far they have come in the past few years. The art assets in this game have aged remarkably well, IMO.

I remember that, also remember how the Imperial Skin for the Assault Cruiser was their flagship at the time. PWE squashed that dead.

Also, can't recall ever seeing in-game a Borg cube dropping out of warp out and putting a tractor beam on me, they usually just loiter until someone attacks them or crawl over if you attack one of their assets.

I remember when the original company making this game was talking about making it super realistic and having player crews etc...What we got was waayyyy different from that original dream but still great non the less. I only wish that somehow there was an option for player bridge crew so me and my friends could have some fun adventures on 1 ship together.

I remember this trailer. It showed so much promise for STO. The fight on the bridge made it seem like it would be more interactive with the ship instead of just space or land based activity and that you would actually have to command the ship like in the Bridge Commander. This is why I probably found it so disappointing.

None the less an interesting watch and a good find Kerry
