Friend's Request

Hello UFP,

I was asked by an old friend to make an image for his SIM and I came up with this,

Now I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to art/renders so I see heaps of flaws but Mrs. DW says it is perfectly alright. I decided to leave the nitpicking to you guys. I am happy to take constructive criticism.

One thing that may irk some die hard canon loyalists is that I used two Flood Lights to illuminate the Registry, traditionally there is only one but I felt two gave the vessel more character and made it more modern film like.

That's fantastic! I really like it, between the lighting and quality of the model it looks like a shot straight out of Generations. If you're asking me to nitpick, the only thing I'd change is the windows, the light out of them looks a little too blurred, but that's not a huge problem. Great work, DeWolfie!

Oh now that's damn pretty! Well done Dewolfie! You're right the two flood lights does give it character, I would keep it.

Thanks for all your feedback.

Flicky, I was asked by my friend to make the ship look ethereal or have a sort of dreamlike effect for it, hence the overexposure and blurry glows but I agree with you, I think it was a bit overboard now that I look at it. So I redid it and lowered the glow intensity. Is it any better now or no?
