    As profound a writer as he is an orator apparently.

    "just a domestic" is an inexcusable way to address such an important issue. It's hard to have such great faults, which are so often deemed as more an issue of the past, so starkly revealed as alive and well in modern society.

    A beautifully worded (and sadly informed) news piece by Sir Patrick.

    I recall when he first(?) shared his story and thoughts during a panel at a con, because of a young woman's question (or statement?). Powerful stuff.

    I still remember watching that video when he was at a convention I believe and discussed his own encounters with domestic abuse with his mum and dad. He is indeed a very passionate Human being, especially on the domestic abuse issues

    Well, as a follower of the New Statesman (I tried to get a job the B*st*rds!) I thought many of you would enjoy it. Sir Patrick Stewart has spoken about this a lot in the past year or so, and I think he has made an impact. As many of you know he has also had a big part within the Labour Party, though with little effect, this campaign has seemed to have bipartisan approval which i'm sure has made and will continue to make a difference.

    I'm pretty sure he will continue to talk about this issue. I have a suspicion he will also talk about posttraumatic stress disorder, which he suspects his father of having. I do not think this is the last we'll hear from Sir Patrick Stewart. He is obviously a compassionate human being, who though has shown not to be as good as some of the other stars with the fans, but is most likely more aligned with the teachings which is Star Trek.

    I have always liked Patrick Stewart for playing Cpt. Picard and Prof. X.

    To learn he's also a wonderful human being behind the scenes just makes me admire him more.
