One of the benefits of having members all over the world is that you are much more likely to have a good number of people to play together with regardless of where you live and what time of day you tend to play.

I joined the UFP just over 2 years ago after playing STO for a few months. I had played solo or with a friend from Lord of the Rings Online during that time. He is a LTS for STO and got bored and left the game for theHunter. I wasn't bored of STO so I looked around on the forums to see what was out there for fleets, having been part of raiding kinships in LotRO I wanted something more relaxed here. After reading the forums and settling on 2 possibilities (UFP and TFS) I looked at their websites to see what they said about themselves. The website for UFP was amazing, absolutely amazing, reminded me of startrek.com from when I was a lot younger. After reading a lot of the site and deliberating about it for a couple days I finally applied to the UFP, did the exam and had Mr. Ben Hurley assigned to me as my RSO. He must have done a good job since I'm still here, the rest as they say is history.

Contrary to most people who posted here, I've been playing STO for 4 and a half years but I've been part of UFP for only a few months.

I'd been aware of UFP for a long time before joining, but I was heavily involved with another fleet. When certain events in that other fleet made me finally decide to look elsewhere, UFP was on the top of my list.

So here I am and my only regret is not joining sooner

I have been a part of Star Trek Online well before it actually became a reality. I watched it go through multiple developers with a different fleet, and at the beginning was with a fleet which disbanded about 3.5 years ago. I started looking for another group and found the UFP on the forums. I looked at what they had to offer and compared them to a few other fleets which interested me. In the end, I chose the UFP and have remained with them since Feb. 2011. While my time for gaming has come and gone, I have always maintained my membership with the UFP because I know when I want to play the game, I want to do it with this group.

I am a relatively new comer to this group/ fleet... I am still kind of learning ze rope... what I can and can't do... I am basically sort of a forum buddy whenever I can't get into the game (due work issues mostly, 1 part hardware issue), but so far I find they guys welcoming... tho I have to admit that isn't all of them... I look forward to a good (if not great) forum and gaming experience with you guys~

I've been playing STO for about 2 and a half years now, I've been part of the UFP for just over two years this august gone, I briefly left the UFP for about 2 months in June this year, due to real life pressure and tension I was causing in the community.

I've been back in the community since my brief retirement since August 3rd, I'm happy to be back, I feel like a changed man from the person I was before (for those of you who knew me before).

I love this community and its spirit, its an all round great place to be, I haven't looked back on joining this community!
