Can I and the rest of the Federation Executive Office, be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah, with best wishes for the New Year that 2015 brings.
Our community has seen a lot of changes of course over the past year, with a lot of good people moving on but also a lot of new members coming in! I won’t make this into one of those posts that reviews the year in full, but I did want to take this opportunity to continue to thank everyone for the hard work that so clearly goes into the UFP and its gaming fleet.
We’ve had the successful launch of our new news area, the Federation News Service, an experimentation with the Federation Council earlier this year, availability of our site on mobile devices, the launch of holiday events which started in January this year and of course various other achievements.
There are a lot of things we want to achieve in the next 12 months and I think soon enough you’ll start seeing that come to light. We’ve made a lot of effort over the past couple of years to transform ourselves into a community with an additional focus on casual Star Trek fans while maintaining our traditional focus on maintaining a gaming fleet, as we have done since 2002. I’m pleased to say I think that this will come to the forefront in 2015. 
Look out for future announcements, including our first ever Reddit Ask Me Anything sessions in the New Year!
Again, thank you to all of you for everything this year and I hope we all take a few days off to be with family or friends.
