We're proud to finally announce that the much requested Achievement System has been launched. In one form or another, the Achievement System has been on our wish list to develop for three or four years now. Spearheaded by a couple of members of the former Federation Council, with assistance from a few dedicated members, we're now finally able to make this a reality.
What is Achievement System?
The achievement system isn't the most unique idea in the world, most gaming platforms and individual games have this kind of feature these days. You unlock different achievements by accomplishing certain feats. Some are easy to achieve, and some only a very select few will be able to achieve.
Drawing inspiration from most modern MMO item classification systems, we've defined the rarity of the current 58 achievements using four different classifications:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Very Rare
For now, these classifications just indicate how common the achievement is in the community. However, we may find other uses for the classifications at somepoint in the future.
We've grandfathered the achievements the best we could, so most of you should have a healthy collection of achievements already. Unfortunately, we weren't able to gather date information for most of the grandfathered achievements. Going forward all new achievements will show the date that you earned it.
