    Everyone please keep my town in prayers. A restaurant at the marketplace I work at got shot up today by rival gang members. I was there when it happened fortunate to come out unharmed. at of 7:30PM Central time 9 people have been killed and 18 injured.

    I was up there from 10:30 - 11:30 AM Central time and the shooting was at 12:15 PM Central time. I am thankful I was not there when it went down. Apparantly from what I saw on the news this evening the whole argument was over a parking spot and that the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission will be removing the restaurants license to serve alcohol. Now how accurate that is, I do not know. I just hope I would be able to go to work tomorrow.

    Thankfully, it looks like no innocents were injured, still, I'm sure it was pretty scary for all the witnesses

    TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) has issued a 7 day suspension and according to several local and national news agencies the national Twin Peaks has revoked the franchise license at the location where I am at. Lots of police presence all over the city and thankfully I am licensed to carry some protection.

    Yesterday at work was kinda interesting. It was certainly slow business wise and I was certainly kind of worried something might happen but from what I saw yesterday while driving by the one street that goes by the restaurant that was still open was that the area still looked like a warzone. Of course local and state police were all over the area so I couldn't get real close but from what I saw I am really thankful I decided to eat at a restaurant on the other side of the shopping center. Here is a post I read on facebook that I thought was something that well said.

    Some people are starting to cry that the National Guard was not called out to Waco Texas to deal with the Motorcycle Clubs (MC) that got into a shootout at the Twin Peaks. They are crying foul and saying there is double standards.


    Why was the Guard not called? Why isn't there a curfew? Simple answer is also a question. Did you see bikers run over to loot the nearby stores? Did you see people that had nothing to do with the situation "protesting"?


    No you did not. There were no riots. No looting. Only concerned locals stepping up to help get the situation under control in whatever way they could.



    The Nation would do well to learn from what happened at the Twin Peaks in Waco Texas. We don't need to turn into thieves and rioters to show how we feel. In Texas we roll up our sleeves and get working to resolve the issue. Why you ask? Because that's what needs to happen to get back to our every day lives.
