Hi guys, i made new character and its time for it to upgrade a weapons on my Waadwaur Manasa.

Now i am having 78Mil. available at the time.
Now i was planing to get MK X/XI/XII... Anti-Proton Dual Heavy Cannons MK // [CRTD]x3 and upgrade it to MK XIV.
For consoles i will buy Vulnerability Consoles from fleet store.

Now, is there any better weapons in this price range...and is there anything eles i can improve ( for example Boff's stattions )?

FYI, both pictures are showing Beam Arrays.

Personally, I'd stick with beams, though not necessarily beam arrays. Use Dual Beam Banks instead - 5xDBBs fore, 1 Omnidirectional array aft, 1 KCB aft.

With regards to BOffs...

I think you have excessive Hazard Emitters - you'd likely want a Sci Team since you don't appear to otherwise have a shield heal, plus it'll clear certain debuffs. With regards to your Tac layout, you really should swap TT2 and FAW1 around. TT2 doesn't give anything useful over TT1.

Offensively, you're going to want to try and always pair FAW with an attack pattern. Two APOs though end up being available every 30s, which doesn't match the FAW availability of 20s. Not pairing them costs your DPS, and pairing them also costs you DPS because it means you're activating the pair every 30s instead of ideally ~20s.

The solution to that is to grab a Zemok (or Rugal if you're KDF) BOff, and then switch APO1 with FAW3, and a FAW2 with APB1, like so:

TT1/APB1/FAW3/APO3
TT1/FAW2

What will happen is that thanks to Zemok, you'll be able to alternate between APO3/FAW3 and APB1/FAW2 every 20s. You'll do considerably more damage than your current layout.

That being said, Zemok is really expensive and you're probably better off getting a Plasmonic Leech console as your first priority. Also expensive, but without Zemok you can grab 2 purple Conn DOffs and go:

TT1/APB1/APO1/APO3
FAW1/FAW2

This would result in you alternating between APO3/FAW2, APB1/FAW1, APO1/FAW2, APB1/FAW1 every 20s.


Really, I'd say a Plasmonic Leech console is probably going to have a greater effect than buying up [CrtD]x3 weapons. Oh, and you're going to want 5 Vulnerability Locators.

About build you recommended i pretty much understand all of it but one...what weapons to use if not CRTDx3.

I was going on bigger Crit. cause i am Romulan whit Crt. trait and all off my BOFFs are romulan whit superior romulan operative trate ( except Tova but he is to be replaced as soon as i get permenent tac. layout. ).¸

EDIT: And yea o forgot about Zemok/Plasmonic Leech, for now they are both too expensive for me, but one day i'll probably take it ( i just bought Narcine and spand alot of money on it so i am only having 78Mil left. ).

EDIT2: I am having 2x xindi boffs that are reducing TAC. Cooldown...maybe to use that?

Yeah, the ones that reduce Tac Team cooldown is the alternative I was talking about, those will do fine (but you may actually profit if you sell the Xindi and buy normal ones, I'd recommend you check the prices).

This boffs are from my ALT. Character that i am not using so much any more...so i can't sell it

Look into other things for your build first. in terms of cost effectiveness, [CrtD]x4 guns or equivalent are actually rather poor, they just cost far too much for the between them and a [CrtD]x3 [CrtH]; short version [CrtD]x4 guns cost 20+ million [CrtD]x3 [CrtH] costs between 1 and 2 million. [CrtD]x4 is not 10 to 20 times better.

They're still obviously worth having in the end, but it's very likely you could spend that 100 million ec on something with more effectiveness.

I'll second the DBB suggestion; Cannons faster firing cycle makes it much harder to keep their power high and lower power means lower damage. They also suffer significant fall as teh range increases, which when combined with their narrow firing arc, leads to significant difficulties when you try and maximize your AOE damage at their optimal range (which for cannons is close enough you could just open the airlock and walk a boarding party over). Their buff powers are also horribly over tiered, FAW maxes out at Lt commander while CSV is a commander ability; A tac heavy ship can run two copies of FAW3 and a commander rank attack pattern and most vaguely offensive ships can manage FAW2. With cannons even the most tac heavy ship can only manage CSV2/CSV3 and no commander attack pattern, or go for two copies of CSV2 and APB3 or APO3. This isn't to say they can't still do good damage, but perform best when you can max out CSVs targets at fairly close range, and this can be tricky to pull off.

Beam arrays meanwhile are solid weapons, but they simply do less base damage than DBBs. Provided you're in a ship that allows you to fill your rear slots with omni arrays you're doing to be able to do more damage with beam banks than beam arrays. 4/3 (escorts basically) 3/3 (science) ships do this, however 5/2 ships like yours are fantastic with that layout since you get to trade another beam array for a beam bank (which does more damage) instead of an omni (which does a bit less). 5/3 ships also do this fantastically for the same reason though some like the Scimitar or the Sheshar take more piloting skill because they're not as nimbile.

[CrtD]x3 [Over] is a good choice, with bonus points for hilarity if it still queues up beam overloads while FAW is active, but it's nearly as expensive as [CrtD]x4 and somewhat rarer to find on the exchange.

id put the gold beam bank into the left spot. as far as i can remember weapons fire from left to right which means that it will always fire first if its available.

On another note: rumors are that they are overworking the weapon mods. [Dmg] could get a major boost.

Oh good, weapons are [CRTD]x3 [DMG] and [ACC/DMG] [CRTD]x3 [DMG] so if DMG get boosted it would be nice .

Now i need some time to refine some more dilithium for other consoles and kinetic beam.
