Virtual Enterprise D is AMAZING!!

So I found out about this today from Yahoo of all places. This crazy and amazing individual is recreating the Enterprise D deck for deck! I cant even properly describe how awesome this is so i'll just leave the video.

P.S. he finally answered the age old question of "Where's the bathroom"

I saw this a few days ago, it's great! The one thing I couldn't get over is the empty rooms, it felt weird and abandoned, especially when you get to the bridge and hear some voices!

Wow the Enterprise looks amazing in the Unreal 4 Engine.. I hope they do other starships to!

EDIT: Just rewatched the whole video, the attention to detail is astounding! The project has goals of online Roleplaying! This could be the new reserves RPG X sim!

This is a very neat project, the video looked amazing. I'll agree with Three though, it does need people or it's a bit more like the set for a horror game.

It reminds me a lot of Star Trek: Captain's Chair from way back in the day. I think it looks awesome!

Simply brilliant. A wonderful find and fantastic work.

I know I try to be as even-handed as possible when it comes to new star treks and whatnot, but Next Gen was my Star Trek and I loved every minute of this.

If this ever becomes a Roleplay environment I will have to up my RP game and learn.

OK, I probably should have skipped this thread because I am in the minority (basically meaning I'm the only one with a dissenting opinion so far). I watched this for a while, and eventually quit because it bored me. While I will admit a lot of work went into this, and I am aware it's still a work in progress, but I was simply not impressed. I'll give my reasons.
1) There were no other people. Really? That many people aboard and I was the only one?
2) Because I was the only one, I had to close my own hangar door? Who put up the force field and pressurized the hangar as I was entering? Couldn't that person have closed the door as well?
3) If I'm the only one on board, who keeps talking over the intercom? Is that the computer? I guess that might explain it, but the computer in Star Trek never sounded like that.
4) I do not believe the hangar decks are that spacious. If you've ever been on an aircraft carrier, you would know that's simply not feasible.
That's all for now. You may now break out the cat-of-nine-tails and begin to flog me mercilessly.

That is the main shuttle bay, which is, massive! It has to be, they have to store a lot of shuttles, the bit you usually see on screen is often just the front part, the launch bay. It has to be large, the class of ship is designed as such, the large ships are often used for big evacuations and shuttle bay 2-3 are converted in emergency medical situations.
