Indeed only one other series has reached this milestone and that is of course Doctor Who. I hope there is something Cryptic would do.

I'd guess they'd give us a free T6 flagship for the anniversary, but not the C-Store Refits. The plain version will be a command based specialization. Maybe the only T6 ship to be "free" to perhaps entice others as well as to give everyone another ship for Admirality.

The Refits would likely have the fancy new thing that was hinted at with Hestia's story blog. No idea what, but whatever they are working on.

That's my take at least.

I would be shocked if they didn't do anything. Especially with CBS closely monitoring the game.

In fact this could be a golden opportunity to bring in new players. If it's done right. I'm optimistic about New Dawn and the possibilities of exploration that have been brought up. Perhaps that will tie in with the 50th anniversary.

I think we will see a T6 Nebula one day, but possibly not for a while, certainly not for a 50th Anniversary! I would say that it does seem like a good time to upgrade all the faction flag ships to T6, but it might just be a simple event, they have probably been using most resources on the upcoming expansion.

But hey, I hope there is something special in the works!
