So today i decided that its time to see what others worst experiences are in the event so far.

This was in part due to today being the day i had my worst runs, from my 13 toon's i am running it on.

I had one where a base didn't even get to T5 and another where a guy rage quit but not before sending out the following rant.

"go f**k yourselfs the sto trash i`v add you all to ignore... 4 tards lesser"

Now i was woeful in that run though that's because it was my worst geared toon, but still people really need to chill a little.

oh well i am sure i will have many more and even in the time the events live even worse ones as well.

This time round, not had any problems, using the normal queue to get the daily bit for the event, for normal, you only really need 2 out of the 5 players to be well equipped. I also don't have the public chats open, only ever pay attention to the UFPlanets one! Try asking in there if anyone wants to team up

But yeah, some people take games way too seriously, if you're in an organised group, things should be different and so long as everyone works as a team, everything should work out fine. Also some people play terrible just to wind other players up, which equally isn't right, but I could go on and on!

When it comes to Mirror Invasion specifically, I've not had a bad experience in a long time, I also prefer the older version of it which didn't take as long.

I usually fly my Scimitar in most runs, so I can sometimes compensate and pick up the slack if the run is going bad. The worst experience I've had during Mirror Invasion is when the starbase kept dying and barely made it to T3... 2 people rage quit. I really don't understand some people.

Incidents like this are more common on Consoles because they generally have younger users, so insults and hurtful comments get through around alot.

Worst I've had was a run where two people from the same guild were sitting cloaked in T'liss' and leeching. We didn't have the manpower to close the rifts and take out all the ships so the station kept getting shut down till moved to the second phase...

Also ended up with one of the two again the next day and they did the same thing...

Strongly recommend against doing MIN, just stick to MIA.

Since the event is timed, they take the same time. I was in an MIA PUG where we let the station die repeatedly ('cause we couldn't fight off the massive wave of enemies) and only closed a dozen or so portals, and still got way more marks (and of course the R&D materials) than MIN. I've never seen the station not upgraded to level 5, though.

It's the complete opposite for me. I frequently get teams in Advanced versions of other queues who have no idea what to do or only focus on pew pews. I'd rather have a relaxing run in Normal than a frustrating Advanced.

That's the thing though.

If things are going FUBAR in an MIA, just retreat, let the spawns pound on the base, and hang around the relay stations upgrading the base. You can do this solo with barely any fighting - the spawns head towards the center forming a massive ball of obliteration, but you can avoid that. Still close the farthest portals and activate relays, and you'd still get the base up to T5 with at least a dozen portals closed.

...and even in that messed up case, you still get more rewards (both in Marks and the R&D box quality) than a perfect MIN run.

(I literally had this happen during a MIA formed in the 10k DPS channel, we just retreated and messed around the outskirts while the base got swarmed.)

Starbase on T2, my tactical was the only capable ship to blow up things, and while I was pulling agro, my lovely pug teammates weren't even able to close the rifts. We ended up with like 6 rifts or so...

But still, there's almost 3 weeks left, who knows what we will get later on...

I remember those kind of runs in the Borg STFs. I was surprised at times that my ship didn't blow up. Must have been the aggressive button mashing on the powertrays.

I am constantly carrying my PUG teams. I think I've only gotten one team via PUG that had several decent players in it who knew what they were doing. My Defiant was, in all cases, the strongest ship on the team - putting out the most damage. So I'd fly around clearing and closing portals, leaving my team-mates to level the SB as thats the easy part. If things get really bad, I come along and do some 'clearing up' to help them out.

Worst run to date was last night, when I was running a MIN and three of the five players dropped out straight away. We loaded with only 4, which was a bad sign, and for some reason - not long after we started, we lost two. Still got it done though

I normally do normal to have some fun going pew pew, but advanced for the extra rewards on my daily box.

Sitting doing nothing in advanced will nearly always earn you more than an excellent 100% run in normal so that's my preferred choice.
But in advanced the difficulty is just stupid sometime and the station get flattened in short order regardless of what you do.

If I want a real challenge I got sit in the middle of that hornets nest at the station in my Sar Theln and tank the bejesus out of them for 10 mins! Feedback pulse = fun. Or sometimes i'll just let then all build up and see how many my GW3 can suck up at once.

Best run i've had this year was yesterday with a fellow UFPer who happened to be in with me. We completely ruled that run.

All of them, I would rather do a million CE's over a single Mirror Invasion.

Agreed. Mirror invasion is very time consuming.

My last two runs were with 50k DPS channel people.

The most recent one was smooth - we stayed in one or two groups, so we could actually close portals and nothing really attacked the station. The run prior to that, we all scattered to try and solo portals, and ended up being swarmed to death.

Looks like it really depends on teamwork, since the enemy manages to keep interrupting me through Temp HPs and Rock'n'Roll seems to interrupt the Interact.
