    Just wow guys.. you need to read this story about the new Battlefront game. It has "Metabombed" on metacritic and some of the reviews are just wow..

    I follow a YouTuber called Jim Sterling who runs his own website called The Jimquisition.com. He wrote an article about the aforementioned Metabombing of Battlefront.. HERE

    What is your opinion of the new Battlefront? Has it changed too much from the Beta or is it simply not good enough?

    How many damns I gave about the game was always going to depend on how EA planned to monetize it in the long run. And this? 80 bucks for the bare minimum of the game, another 70 for the season pass and then more as yet unannounced amounts of money for the stuff you're not including in the season pass? Yea that's how you get me to not care in the slightest.

    Never really paid attention to Metacritic, I play a game if I like the look and sound of it, if I don't then I won't bother getting it. From what I have heard about this game, it's a shell of what the previous was, with people expecting to see bits added as DLC and that has put people off. As well as several other changes Star Wars fans don't like, I don't have a clue so can't comment on lore!

    This wasn't a game I was looking at getting anyway, it would just be nice is we could go back to the age of full games being released, not skeletons with content to be bought later.

    Metacritic scores are flawed and pointless and I give them absolutely no consideration whatsoever. That said, Battlefront isn't great either.

    I don't care about ratings in a review. When I research a game, I read reviews but their ratings are meaningless because we may not share the same tastes. However, I use the reviewer's description of what's good what's bad to get an idea of what the most outstanding major characteristics are. If a reviewer complains there's too much dialog and not enough combat, they hate it but just described something that interests me.

    The only time I look at metacritic is when I still can't decide if I want to splurge on a game even after reading as much non-spoilery things as I can find, and need something to just tip me over.

    That being said, I heard the new Battlefront sucks anyway, being at best an expensive reskin.
